Have y'all not been in RZR or the like? I had one and being blasted in the face non stop with wind sort of sucked. Requires goggles instead of sunglasses. I put a wind screen in and really enjoy the ride much better. Sure it doesn't matter when you are barely moving, but that is just a small portion of the day.

I’ve read every one…the vast majority don’t even mention it. Haven’t seen one call it a “miss”, at best they mention it in passing. You completely made up the parts where anyone named it “the biggest knock”….or “the ultimate reason not to purchase”…no one really even brings it up out of all the complaints on this board or others.

While you’re researching look up the word sarcasm. Not the biggest knock but definitely mentioned enough times that I noticed

As another poster mentioned, pretty sure this is why the windshield folded down. So they could parachute these suckers into battle in a crate.

I tried it last Fall - it was a fun around town novelty, but no way I'd consider it over 30-35mph. Among other reasons, they were good for packing in crates. No real modern day need for it.

I’ve done it on my ‘66 Bronco.
Its fun running around the block, but anything over 30mph isn’t too fun.
Doesn’t bother me that the new Bronco has a fixed windshield. The fact that the new Bronco has fixed side defroster vents is a better feature for daily driving.

Fold down wind shield on military vehicle is to get rid of the possible glare off the glass. Sun shining off a windshield will give your position away

Maybe not for parachuting in... I'd want it all put together when it lands, but definitely for shipping space!

No, not illegally... but the windshield does interfere with the use of my thermal scope! LOL.

Of all the YJs, TJs and JKs I’ve owned I have never once payed down the windshield. Nor have I ever wanted to.
