Sure, I was wondering if there was an easier workaround.
It is easy watch the video it takes about 10 minutes to install.

I love to push buttons. I just push the ASS button after starting. Seems pretty easy - even I can do it :)
I did that for a while, but every time I forgot to shut it off it actually embarrassed me when I stopped at a light and my Bronco turned off and started again (it just doesn't make sense to me no matter what anyone says).

Forscan. $50 for the license and dongle. Assuming you have a laptop.

What's new in FORScan

March 04, 2022 - Suspending Extended License sales

Due to sanctions against Russian banks and unability to transfer funds, we have to suspend selling Extended Licenses.

Well, there that is. :(

I concur with the pro autostop eliminator comments. $100 for the convenience of not forgetting to hit the button and having the feature operate as it should was worth it for me.

The FORscan mod seemed sketchy to me, especially with all the V6 motor issues. Last I read it seems like the FORscan changes are 'tricking' the computer into a permanent fault state that disables the Bronco from entering ASS.

So far the only forscan mod I made is to enable Sport mode on Badlands. I figured it would be hard, but not impossible, to deny warranty engine replacement at this point from just that change.

Also, staying in Sport mode was more of a pain than hitting the ASS switch.

My main convern with any mods, including forscan, is anything that Ford would use to invalidate warranties.
Seems like adding mud flaps is ok, everything else, good luck.

Sorry for bringing this up, as I agree that ForScan discussion is tangential to thread topic, but I'd like to take back my comment about disabling ASS in ForScan is somehow altering expected signals to the system.

I just looked at the spreadsheet linked in one of our threads, and it appears to be a simple multi select value change. I believe I was confusing this with some other mod discussed in the long forscan thread.

I bought the adaptor to link up the fore scan to turn off the beep beep, the auto start/stop, activate the sport mode and so on but when this 2.7 failure thing started, I decided to back off for a while because I didn't want any warranty issues, so that is why I purchased the ASS eliminator it just made it simple for now and to be honest I really think the Sport mode will get me into trouble because the 2.7 is quick and nimble enough the way it is.

Will you remove that device if you have to take the bronco in for service?
