Does your rack tilt down and away? the rack I have does, so I figured that would let the tailgate open...
It does tilt, but it's the pivot point that sits too high.

Small, light, and cheap... made from a harbor freight hitch vice mount and some old Yakima rack parts I had sitting around. I have been using this for the last 10 years.

Do you have more pics with the reverse plates? I M about to order a 1up and trying to decide if I should do the reverse plates or not. any cons to it?
No other pics, but you can see in that one the diagonal portion goes down instead of up. Super happy with it. After living with it for a while I could see how if it was the normal way i wouldnt be able to get into the back as easily.

That is a super sexy piece of kit. It's too nice for me to use, I would buy it and mount it in the living room for all to see.

For 1up rack, you don’t have to use the reverse plates, only the hitch extension will be enough to clear the 35 inch spare tire.

So this looks as if you can avoid purchasing the Kuat pivot and simply go with hitch extension and still be able to open the door (without bikes on rack)? Can you detail the hitch extension so I can get the same set up? Thanks!

I have the Lolo Racks. They're made in Portland Oregon.
https://loloracks.com/

I have a need to transport 3 or 4 bikes every time we go for a ride, so the platform type was just too long for my taste.
This rack takes about 15 seconds to load each bike and they don't touch each other at all. It's super versatile too taking any size wheels since the handlebars are where the bike is hung from.

There are three bikes on the rack in the picture. One is 24", one is 26.5" and one is 29".

You can also get a 6-bike carrier instead of the 4-bike. There is also an option to just get the hanger and install on any built-in rack system you have installed on your vehicle as well.

Sorry, I don't have my Bronco yet. I'm waiting for the 2023 orders to open up. I'd like to get the Bronco next year if possible.

1up offers a hitch extension too.

I simply LOVE my 1up! No plastic parts to get brittle and crack or fade over time, no swaying & ZERO noises or rattles with or without bike. Shown with hitch extension to clear spare tire. I think 1up goes up to 4 bikes max.

Do you have the Ford Tow package? If so are you able to install the 1UP hitch extender pin and lock? The Ford tow package light harness connector looks like it would get in the way. If you can post a picture it would be great. Thank You
Yes, I have the factory tow package.
I don't have a photo of it, I switched to the Kuat Hi-Lo Pro extender for a 2-inch drop. Also, I can put the whole rack with the extender on and off in a min, just pull out the pin and loosen the lock with a hex wrench.

To add a layer of security, I use the Master Lock 1480DAT to clear the trailer connector on the left side, it's slightly easier to insert your key in the vertical position.

Get a Kuat Pivot and a 1Up USA rack. Buy once cry once. Best combo you'll ever need or want. Spendy but worth it in every way. Use a 1Up vs a Thule or Yakima and the difference is night and day. Buy once cry once, one and done.

1up is good, but Quikrstuff is where it is really at. They are just slow to produce. Original inverter of the 1up.

Just understand any hitch rack will set off sensors. No matter what I turn off, they make noise when backing and I have to disable the noise every start.
