Ugh….. the DV8 rig, too. I just added the sleeves to mine. Getting ready for Moab.
You’d think they’d have a spare with them, unless it damaged the steering rack as well.

CV failed. No trailside fix unless you are super handy...
I think I've seen people on that trail before and it takes some effort.
They said broke the front end housing at the cv, it’s aluminum. Only fix is a complete front m210 assembly

Best money DV8 has spent on advertising yet.
Trail Mafia broke the same thing in one of there videos. Looks like the weak part isn't the ring gear.

They probably would've been able to do a trail repair if they hadn't put those tie rod sleeves on. Just moves the failure point from the tie rods to a more expensive component.

Looks like they did not have tie rod reinforcement. They do have the DV8 lower a-arm guard on there.
So they broke a CV or tie rod wheeling hard on what looks like 37's.... Why is this such a big deal and somehow Ford's fault? This kind of thing happens all the time to when people are wheeling hard in any vehicle. Pretty sure there are off road recovery businesses for a reason.
