There is a place in Collegeville pa about 45 min from PA-DE state line That do pretty good work. I had A-pillers and door skirts done for around 250. I had this done same day I did window tint and paid cash (20% discount) https://www.sunandshade.net/ppf-areasWhen I got my Gladiator windows tinted I got a quote on ppf for the Bronco.
To get the hood, fenders, rockers, doors, rear quarter panels and windshield frame would be $2500. No need to do the tailgait IMO. But can't see it adding that much anyway. That comes with a 10 year nationwide warranty. More reasonable than I was expecting. And I'd easily spend that over getting ceramic coating.
How is it holding up? i am looking for a shop in LA as wellI got my entire car wrapped for $3k In Suntek Armor. Guy starting up his own shop.
There were some paint damage on the Interior of tailgate from install as with the screws on the tailgate unscrewing. But to be honest, I got what I paid for and I’m fine with it. Overall its going to do what what I want which is protect parking taps, scratches, and easy to clean with a polished look. Heals in the sun. Other shops were quoting me 4K and couldn’t do the grill to upwards of 12k.
he’s coming back to fix a few areas too. Overall satisfied.
I feel dumb, but I know almost nothing about PPF. It's like a plastic "skin", right? Do you have to remove it at some point? Or does it just wear off over time?
If a rock hits it, does it wrinkle up? I don't want to put something on that's going to cause another issue I have to deal with.
PPF is not meant for the bumper as the surface is much different. Are they doing the bumpers as well? I was told the front metal bumper and the rear plastic bumpers would not be done because ppf would not stick well on those surfaces and would be a problem in a matter of time.
Do you mind me asking how much it ended up being? And did they give a quote without the ceramic too?I did the whole vehicle ceramic pro PPF which includes the coating too.. It was expensive but, I think it‘s worth it for these vehicles.
Roughly where at in Michigan, I’m here too and was gonna drive to Chicago.I have xpel stealth. Love the way it turned out. Total cost was $4800(Michigan) in May.
