Easy big fella just pointing out that it was the Ford Motorcraft funny car driver whose family has been drag racing Fords for 60 years now.Never heard of him and don't give a shit. It was just a joke.
Yep...THAT IS MY COLOR -OUTERBANKS TRIM! Soooo PRETTY!!!Photo Credit Dave Wilson on Facebook
I have never used the keypad on any of my Fords. Just doesn’t interest me.Total scientific study
my three fords (in the past) with keypads, never had an issue with battery. Also I was only using it ~ once a month too
Appreciate the clarification. My Fiesta has a button in a similar spot, so I assumed that Ford "goofed" on the door handle's design.....Yes and no.
It's not a button, it's a touch sensitive "spot" for locking. Unlocking is done on the inside of the handle. I think they moved it to the front because with the touch sensitive spot on the back where you're grabbing, you'd often hit it when trying to unlock using the inner part of the handle (your hand wraps around the handle, covering both the unlock and lock sensors at the same time).
For comparison, here is F-150's handle with the same setup with the sensor in the back of the handle - I have experience with these, and like I said it isn't a button, but you wind up hitting both sensors a lot. So they moved it to the front of Bronco's handle to avoid that. Ford also did the same setup on the 2020 Explorer, but they don't have the black button, it's just a spot on the top of the handle.
Yes, you beat me to it, our favorite Ford Drag RacerPretty sure he can probably drive better at 330mph than we can at 65mph. I think thats Bob Tasca III.
EXACTLY! This is something I noted to someone a few months ago. The early Bronco was a simple vehicle and was by some standards crudely made. The FORD on the tailgate was white that looks like it was painted with a roller (probably was), the gas filler neck has a large punched hole through the quarter panel with three sheetmetal screws running through the quarter panel holding it on, and the door unlock knob passes through a punch hole in the door with no thought to adding a beauty ring or something to cover the gap.Who's up for buying a 1st generation Bronco and assuming perfection? I know I am!
As a semi-professional photographer I can appreciate this ;-)I'd always wondered why professional photography was so expensive (aside from equipment costs). The leaked photos during this launch have seriously adjusted my perspective.
