Its personal choice to participate or not...
If you think you’ll be able to “choose” your way out of a mass surveillance state, you’re kidding yourself.

Unless you plan on going entirely off-grid. Otherwise, you and yours will get rolled up and scored just like everyone else.

Somewhat on topic the build out of the 3 new data centers in my area is pretty sad to see. We don't have much in the way of recreation areas or wilderness except our desert and its being destroyed on a mass scale for these new sites one is for oracle. I guess I need to take it all in while it's there cause I've heard that we have more in the pipeline for build out. I just wish they could have gone about this in a different way the chihuan desert is very much part of me and its being ripped out

"Scored", lol. For sure. Like the "credit score", where if you pay a loan off, your credit score drops, lol. Or if you pay off a credit card and close the account, your score drops.

Welcome to 1984.

when I feel naughty, I leave my phone at home and drive logging roads in my 86 SamuraI. We only became worried when everything in life became complicated. Do you remember no cell phones, electronics in cars, gps…the list goes on and on. We managed to live in the moment, the only thing I carried in my gen 1 bronco was drinking water, jacket, snacks, limited hand tools and fishing gear. Never got stranded (I did get lost a couple of times 🤣) always found my way back. Damm i’m getting old.

Just read through the 2025 bronco manual, didnt seem too bad. Its all vehicle data, nothing about my eyes, voice, or anything personal. Obviously I'd prefer no data, but it they want to log my lateral acceleration thats fine enough. Now if they start doing that whole "ticket in the mail" self-snitching thing, that'd be hard to swallow - although the technology inside the bronco isn't the deciding factor there, its legislation. And if we get to a point where thats actually being enforced, driving an older car isnt going to save you from the flock cameras.

The only exception to the "no personal data" would be if you grant permissions to your messages/contacts/calls when you pair your phone, then its definitely in the realm I would call "spying". Luckily having sense, I hit "dont allow" when my car asked to read my messages and call logs...

You and I both brother!! I’m sick and tired of the overly complicated! So much so that when my wife’s techno bomb on wheels Mercedes decides to give us problems (which it hasn’t for 6 years and 100k miles thankfully), it’s going to be replaced with not a new car, but an old car put through the restoration process instead. We’re thinking an 06’ Lexus LX470 with the bullet proof V8. Can buy a decent one for about $20k, put another $15k into it via mechanic/body/stereo shops, and be good for another decade and 150k miles. All we really need is a head unit that does Apple CarPlay. That’s it. Who cares about 13 mpg when you’re at $35k in an environment of avg pricing approaching $70k now…

One last one - for you Google Earth people. You want to see what I'm talking about? Type in this address into Google Earth and take a street tour. This is just one of about 50 in my area that has popped up over the last 7 years or so.

21955 Loudoun County Parkway, Ashburn, VA
Already driving up electric prices in this area.

Ever read the books of Daniel and/or Revelation?
Revelation not really a great source to reference when supporting a rational argument, just saying. 😂
