Sure, but that was always the case. Like I said, we knew about webasto. Nothing is different. Just wondering what was expected since we already had an idea of the situation on the ground. Also once again: full condolences to anyone who was hopeful. I would have loved a mass email saying everyone is getting their Broncos next Thursday, but that was never in the cards. I’ve seen a lot of people here mentioning how their day has been ruined, etc. I repeat: condolences. Truly. But this seems about the same as saying your day was destroyed because you didn’t hit the lotto.

Edit: I want you guys to get your ‘21s ASAP. I want to see them on the road, I want to read actual reviews, I want to see aftermarket products start pouring in. I’m on your team, even though I’m waaaay behind you in line. I want to see this stuff, because I’m hyped for this car and daydreaming about my build is better when there’s concrete info out there. So once again, sorry to all those disappointed.

@flip, have you heard of any serious conversation and commitment that Ford will add the rear wiper wiring, washer hose and dash controls to all models so you can order now with a soft top and buy a hardtop later?

You would think that would be a really good option, but I suspect Ford doesnt want to deal with the logistics, but given the current situation the cost may be better for their bottom line. I would definitely consider this option, but I am not doing it unless its this route.

I honestly don't blame Ford. We just went through a 100+ year global pandemic that no one had any way to plan around or the knowledge to do so. Supply/Demand/workforce are out of whack for everything: Gas, Lumber, Steel etc. etc.

It is frustrating - but I can't blame them - just so happened their launch year landed in the middle of a generational pandemic.

As expected, Ford missed a deadline they set. Unexpectedly, they didn't reschedule it like the launch, B&P, order banks, delivery, etc., They just said it was too hard and they wouldn't be doing it. Points for being honest about it, more then offset by negative points by deciding that keeping their word was too difficult. Just when you though Ford couldn't disappoint more than they already have...

There it is, now all the crazy ass ridiculous speculation can end, thank God. How anyone is surprised by the content of the email blows my mind. and of course they can’t give anyone an estimate if they have no idea how long it will take MIC top production to get ironed out. Ford wants to sell you a Bronco more than you want to buy one, trust me.

For them to finally publicly acknowledge the top issues, which essentially scorns a critical partner, is absolutely huge and shows the dire situation.

Hardtop Roof, 2.7L engine, Lux or Sasquatch Package, Badlands/Wildtrak, Safari Bar or Trailer Tow package, etc.

I literally have every single one of those options. Guess I'm waiting for a good long while now.

Ford, a lot more people would switch to soft-tops now if you built them with the rear windshield wiper parts for when they upgraded to a hard-top later. That includes First Edition reservation holders.

Yep - myself included. I don't understand why they can't make that change on the fly.
