Many other examples to be had. Like I said, not all that rare. Dealerships aren’t maintenance depots and are limited on what types of repairs they can do. Swap parts, sure. Lift the body off the frame? Not so much.
Quote from the article you linked: “Unlike most recalls, where a dealer can perform a repair…”

So looks like my comment is accurate; would be unusual for such a recall

Until more details exist I remain incredibly skeptical!

The recall could just be for a subset of the vehicles produced. I followed the Sport recalls and there were several that were only for a few hundred units.
Thought about that too, checked to see if OP had sasquatch package

I'd be surprised if there weren't factory-level recalls on specific vehicles with how fast Ford is trying to push these units out.

Par for the course... especially for a vehicle designed for the bumps in the (off)road.

When did I say most recalls aren't handled at the dealership?

I said not ALL recalls are handled at the dealership.

Reading comprehension is fundamental for a forum.

" Depends on the exact issue. Some can only be fixed at the factory. Special machinery or diagnostics etc. " - my exact quote. I followed up with your requested example and you still somehow try to turn it into a victory. Pretty amazing.

People without build dates be like…
Its like a never-ending game of 'screw your neighbor'. You know somebody in the game is gonna get screwed every round. You also know that, one way or another, eventually it will be you.

I don’t even know if the OP’s info is accurate or not. I just find it ironic that everyone on here is eager for their Bronco’s (myself included) and now IF there’s a potential recall issue, it’ll be everyone saying “take your time, I want a quality product… I got sent my Bronco too soon, blah blah blah.”

There will be zero winning With some folks.

Why not? Ford dealers have been lifting cabs off super duties for 2 decades now.
I read that comment you qouted and thought "I should stop reading now".
I'm Done now.

You would have to ask the Ford Motor company what the recall is for. The fact that they can handle repairs on vehicles that've been on the market for decades at a higher level than a brand new vehicle isn't as surprising to me as it is to you apparently.

Sad for us, his truck came today!! So he's likely abandoned us for a while....lol.

I think it would be unusual for a recall to be remedied by sending delivered/in transit units back to the plant. The plant is dedicated to building new units. A wheel/tire issue would be even less likely to require assembly plant rework. Take it to discount tire or ship out new wheels!

Typically they’d be repaired locally then offered for sale, no?
What’s an example of this type of recall? (Looking for a brand/model/year specifically)
Something similar happened to a specific lot of Mach-E vehicles shortly after the factory started shipping retail orders from the plant outside of Mexico City. Some of them were corralled at the rail yard in Kansas City and fixed there by a team of Ford techs, and some were sent back to the factory to be fixed. I can’t recall specifics. I think it was an electronic issue, but I may be wrong?
