I'm going to piss off many here but I'm saying a winch. See them all the time on rigs and they have not been used at all.

Isn't the purpose of a winch to have it IF you need it? Not necessarily go places where you HAVE to use it?

I get it if the winch is for looks on a mall crawler. But a rig with a winch that's never been used means the owner hasn't gotten stuck (yet). That's not necessarily a negative.

You still ought to try it out and have used it in practice at least once, right? What I see is people have them and don't even know how to use them properly.

I agree with most of this thread, but one motivation for a lot of this stuff will always be, "It looks cool." That's one thing that makes modifying a car/truck/SUV so appealing. If it looks really cool, and I can justify its price tag with its use, I'll probably do it. The 16-year-old in me dies hard.

I thought the point of this thread is that it doesn't look cool. Or it did look cool until 500,000 other people before you did it. Now it's just unoriginal and lazy. Go find your own cool thing.

I hate mallbrodozer like this thing

military theme painting and mods (skinny business shirt boy doesn’t have anything to do with military)
4X empty red gas tank attached to the side and back of the car
absolutely zero dirt
drives at 100mph on i95

And it has a winch that will never be turned on
