The priority order thing is way overblown on B6G. Small dealer got maybe one, possibly 0 priority orders. Non-factor especially with your order date.

As far as their allocation, they just don’t want to give it to you. They have it, but they’re feeding you a line saying they don’t know. Either that or they’re completely incompetent and don’t know/care to figure it out. Pick your poison I guess.
I think the OP is referring to priority order code, not a "priority order". Either way, sounds like the dealership is playing dumb.

Dealers know where they stand, their allotments and your place in line at their dealership.

Here is an email I received today from John at Stephens Auto Center (SAC)

First, if you have already received your Bronco, or your VIN or you've
received notification of a pending scheduling at Ford, disregard this
email. I would have liked to cull out those of you that meet the above
criteria before sending this email and that was my original intent
last week, but after receiving Ford's notification of MY22 Order Banks
scheduled opening set for Oct 13, I thought it best to go ahead and
email the entire list rather than spending hours working to thin down
the email list. Those of you that meet the above criteria are set for
MY21. There may be a few more of you that are receiving this that will
be scheduled. Some of you will not be scheduled. This email is
intended for those that will not be scheduled and I simply do not have
enough info to know exactly who that will be.

That being said......

As we're all anticipating the opening of the Model Year 22 order banks
for the Broncos, I wanted to touch base with this group of customers
(holdovers from MY21).

Your "place in line" with a dealer, us or otherwise, doesn't matter
and never did matter. Only your timestamps initially mattered, then it
was timestamps (overall, against ALL customers) and commodity
availability. Even though the "spot in line" on our tables doesn't
matter in the grand scheme of things, I will know after Ford announces
"no more scheduling for 21". I'll combine those left out of the 21
builds with those that have deferred and the new reservation (since
March 19) and have them listed in order.

Our allocation was 108. We're at 85 either delivered or in the
pipeline and will be delivered (which is 15 more than our original
allocation). I expect, based on Ford's email yesterday, that
scheduling will continue, at least for a week or two, and fill out
some units through December. We may not hit 108, Ford, due to
circumstances that have come up since the original 70 allocation (and
later 108 allocation) may not have the ability to meet the 108 number.

Ford stated yesterday (and Wednesday) that the MY22 order banks are
"scheduled" to open on Oct 13. As we've seen in the past, this may or
may not happen.

What I feel will happen is, Ford will change over the Build and Price
tool on Ford.com for MY22 Broncos in a few days. Once this happens,
get your order together, build it on Ford.com and await the order
banks to open up, which I will then be calling each and every one of
you (I can do about 40-50 per day). As I am not sure if your MY21
configured order will stay in the system or if we need to build it
from scratch (and because there may be options for MY22 that you
previously were not offered), I am asking that everyone rebuild their
Broncos on Ford.com.

We've so far delivered 25 Broncos, have 7 on the ground here at the
dealership awaiting customer pick-up and another 53 in line for
production. I believe we'll see a few more (our allocation was 108,
but with all of the problems Ford's had, I am not sure they'll be able
to provide that many to us by the end of 2021.)

A very large majority of our customers have continued to wait out the
process and have continued with their orders (about 93%). A small
fraction have cancelled (about 7%) for one reason or another. If you
choose to not go through with the ordering process and want a refund,
you need to notify us of your intent to cancel and we can cancel the
order and issue a refund.

That's all for now. Keep an eye on your email for further info from me or Ford.

How does dealer allocation factor into the remaining 2022 builds in this? Specifically those outside the allocations. They are 2023?

That's the question there doesn't seem to be an answer to at the moment. I have read and researched several posts and it isn't clear. Allocations may roll over or new allocations will be announced for 2022. I do know that SAC will be sending an email when they know how many they may receive and will tell us where we stand in line based on reservation timestamp.

From my understanding allocations were awarded based on the number of reservations at the dealership. From the forum members reporting it was determined that dealerships were awarded 30% of reservations turned into allotments. SAC had around 320 reservations around November or December 2020 when Ford announced they weren't going strictly by time stamp and also considering the allocations. That is when the allocations came to light and these conversations started. People at the time were starting to shop dealers to find a better place in line.

I am not sure the allocations play much of a part now though. I have seen people order a Bronco in August/September of this year and already have a build date. If all reservations made before November 2020 determined allocations then how could someone just order one. Were all orders at the dealership placed ahead of these people non-buildable units? If the dealer had no reservations then how did they get an allocation?

From what I can peace together the 2021 allocations for all dealerships were more units than Ford could produce this year. Ford started pulling buildable units sending them out and probably not worried about the dealers allocations. SAC is going to end up around 80 units built with a leftover 28 allocations. As far as 2021 goes those allocations were most likely distributed to smaller dealers and those smaller dealers received more than they were allocated.

Thinking more about this: I am a 7/14/20 reservation holder. I have seen my exact build go to a 7/15/20 reservation holder. My dealer still has allocations and I have an earlier time stamp. So timestamp and allocations meant nothing concerning my build.

A little less than a year ago their was quite a bit of talk of Ford allocating also based on Jeep sales in the area to make an impact. It was also talked about Ford trying to spread it out throughout the country. Because I am with a large dealership (as far as Bronco orders go) they may be spreading the wealth. The dealership is located outside of Charleston, WV.

I’m 296 at my dealer 😭

I’ll live :)
Ahhhh haaaa, I got you beat Jon. I'm number 774 out of somewhere around 1100 orders.

Even though I have to drive over 1K miles to pick up my Bronco I'm so glad I went with Granger. Zach @Zach@Granger, and his crew have been very open about allocations, order, etc. It's sad that all dealers can't do the same. It's not a states secret for goodness sake, and no one will be lashed if they get the info to their customers.

@Nybadlands22, Mike, good luck. I hope you can get some answers to your questions.

So I emailed my dealer today and asked what their bronco allocation was, what my priority number was, how many orders they have, and if they had received any because I was curious. Before everyone kills me for not finding out before, I was oblivious to all of this before a few weeks ago when I joined this forum and had already placed an order 9/6/21. I did get it at msrp. That being said, they are trying to tell me they know nothing about allocations as far as the bronco, and priority numbers? It’s a small town dealership but are they full of shit and just don’t want to tell me? Can any dealer related person confirm/verify this for me. I’m already pretty sure their full of shit.
Don't worry about priority code. As long as its not 99, you are good.

They absolutely should have an idea on their allocation. I'd talk to their manager if possible or whoever places the orders for cars. They would know.

I agree to all that you have said. I'm crossing my fingers for increase production from November forward. So i could conceivably get my Bronco in March-May-ish... I'm also making the assumption that Granger will get some decent monthly allocation...30-40+ month.

I would expect that with the orders Granger has the allocation would be close to the numbers you quoted. I'm hoping mine will show up by late summer/early fall of next year. I certainly don't want to risk driving in the snow to pick the thing up. :) Like you I'm hoping that Ford has all of the craziness behind them, and they can get Broncos rolling off the line quicker.

@Nybadlands22 Here's your answer Mike. There are good dealers out there, and Granger is one. Zach has always tried to help even if one isn't their customer.

If you haven't opted out yet and haven't gone to a "off-Roadeo" yet, I strongly suggest you do before you cancel. It's a great time and really helps with the decision to wait imo....but it may not be that way for you....
Or conversely it could make him even more upset. I went to the Off-Roadeo over Labor day weekend in Austin. It was a great experience that taught me alot about the truck and off-roading. It also helped seal the deal with the wife as she saw how much fun I was having and how I was talking about what we can do as a family with it. The problem came as I eagerly awaited this last batch of emails (9/30) and saw multiple builds of the same as mine that were ordered 2-3 months ago be scheduled. I've only been officially waiting 8 months with a reservation but was following the rumors long before that and almost put in a day 1 reservation but wasn't in a financial spot to do so.

I can understand the frustration completely. Unless you build a base Big Bend with a 2.3L, there is really no reason or rhyme how one gets pulled vs the another...we did have two of our oldest 2 door Badlands pull this week and they were both loaded so I am hoping this is a good sign things may get rolling once the 22's are up...Funny thing about the Off-Roadeo for me was I went when it was just for dealers and after the day, my wife and I agreed it was time for us to treat ourselves to one...kind of our 25th anniversary gift to each other even though it will be year 26 or 27 by the time ours comes in....haha

Most people at the dealership aren't told about their allocation statistics. I called my salesman last week who also has an order there and he knew nothing other than saying they have 200+ orders, they've had six deliveries and I was around #50 in line. A few days later, I received a VIN# from Ford and Nov 22 build date, AND I have MIC, Squatch 2.7L. moral of story, just gotta wait it out.
