Nothing will break me. A human built it, a smarter human can fix it, and make it better. Short of it turning into a rust bucket, I’m in for life.

Saw one of those “tolerance challenge” posts recently and thought we Bronco owners should have our own take on it. Let’s see how far you make it before losing your mind. Just for fun, guys.

Level 1:
A crack appears on your roof.

Level 2:
Other vehicle owners laugh at your Bronco.

Level 3:
Filling up the gas tank while your wallet cries in silence.

Level 4:
Getting roasted by other Bronco owners for not building it “the right way.”

Level 5:
Your Bronco starts making a weird noise… and you can’t figure out where it’s coming from.

Level 6:
You find out your Bronco is now worth way less than what you bought it for.

Level 7:
You realize the dealership totally played you.

Level 8:
Something breaks in the middle of nowhere on the trail.

So… which level would completely break you? And if none of these bother you, then congratulations — your Bronco is definitely your true love. But honestly, what’s a few problems here and there? We all know we’re still gonna keep spoiling them anyway lol.

7 of your 8 "levels" could and do apply to most any vehicle on the road. The roof cracks is an issue for sure but not a problem for soft tops. And Ford seems willing to make them right during warranty plus just launched a recall on the '21-22 year tops. If you care that much about what others think, you've got deeper problems than your choice of vehicle.

1 - this would totally grind my gears.

2 - Not realistic - other vehicle owners are jealous.

3 - Bronco gets the best gas mileage of any vehicle I have ever owned. (Mustang GT is slightly better on the interstate)

4 - Sounds like cope

5 - ahh, that would because I took the wife somewhere and she somehow manages to put the seat belt back in a weird place. Took two weeks to find the rattle.

6 - Manheim says you are wrong.

7 - Actually the dealership honored 2021 pricing even though it was a 2022. And Ford honored Job 1 pricing even though it was Job 2.

8 - this would really suck. If I wanted stuff that broke all the time, I'd buy another Jeep.

Impact, but that wide slot doesn’t support the head of the bolt evenly. My opinion.

I've driven some real junk in my life that left me stranded more than once in real some inconvenient places in the days before cell phones, vehicles that I constantly had to wrench on to keep rolling. My Bronco would have to have some real catastrophic issues to get me to my breaking point.

The breaking point will be when I don't trust it anymore. My dad had a truck when he was a kid, and after a problem with one of the wheels, everytime there was any kind of noise, shake or shimmy he was pulling over and getting out to shake the wheel. He loved that truck but decided he couldn't trust it anymore so he sold it. When the Bronco's no longer trustworthy, it will go.

I want to say I am going to keep this Bronco always. I like it a lot. More than any other "new to me" vehicle I've owned. There's a part of me that was on the fence about buying an older truck or car (pre 80's) this time around just because of all the integrated complexity that I don't really value that makes repairs overly expensive. Time will tell. I liked my F150, but after the panoramic roof issues, and over $2,000 of replacements and ineffectual repairs by the dealer, that truck reached my breaking point fast. Screw Ford for that roof. And the transmission crapped out at 150k miles. That said, it's not just Ford. I squeezed every last ounce of goodness out of a 2002 3/4 ton GMC that I really liked. The interior fell apart, but the engine and transmission gave me 280k miles before it became a constant coolant and oil leak repair fiasco.

Level 1: Now that I'm out of warranty, this just started happening...

Level 2: Who cares?

Level 3: BANNABLE TOPIC lol

Level 4: Honestly, it's all fun & games.

Level 5: So far so good.

Level 6: The second I drove it off the lot.

Level 7: Granger Gang.

Level 8: While on my last off-roading trip, I kept joking about how I was glad both of my buddies brought a ton of tool, cause I didn't bring shit. So this is the one what'll end up doing me in lol
(I was the only one to not break down or need a trail repair that whole trip btw...)
