What's your tipping point?

What's your tipping point?

  • Another year goes by without a build date.

  • I can get a great deal on my second choice vehicle.

  • My dealer continues to be clueless and unresponsive.

  • More quality/technical issues continue to be reported here.

  • One more meaningless "Stay Pumped" message.

  • I bleed Ford blue and shit blue ovals... I'm waiting until I die.

  • I've already canceled my reservation.

Just saying, I started out my Bronco journey very resistant to the idea of a jeep.

I've built at least 25 Bronco sports and 25 big Broncos over the last month; my husband has seen them on my phone screen and asked what I was looking at this time.

Earlier this week when he popped the question, I had a Rubicon on Jeeps B&P tool 😔 I test drove a 2018 4runner TRD off road premium last week

I'm not saying I'm giving up, since I'm already late to the reservation and order party, just that the next ~18 months will be some of the longest of my life

My second choice has always been a third Gen Raptor but those things are more elusive then the Bronco at times. I called the dealer I bought my last Raptor through and have been ghosted by them both via email and voicemail. Same thing from another dealer I reached out to and left a message. Fords becoming an absolute failure with customer service lately for me. The Raptor debacle is making it so my only choice is to wait out my Bronco reservation.
Tremor f-150 is an option as well, downgrade for sure though.

I’m already there TBH. I’m making arrangements to order another vehicle. A lot of people are gonna talk shit but the performance is really what convinced me order something else, plus some other little things.

I just looked at my reservation / Order. It now says ""Contact Dealer"" ???

I called my dealer. He doesn't know why this message appeared? He says they are still waiting for their Mannequin.

Any ideas why this message appeared?

For those of us with early reservations that still don't have a build date:
What would it take for you to just say, "Ahh screw this. I'm over the Bronco".
If the new inline six turbo for the Wrangler had been an option, I never would have even placed a reservation, but FCA/Stellantis is all about the pixie dust fantasies now so that engine might have been cancelled.

First Raptor I owned was a ‘17 crew cab and even with the 801a I was out the door at 62k. The Tremor starts in that range an I can’t get over that

Anyone who thinks their early reservation means a thing on when their vehicle gets built, is also surprised at the drastic rise in gas prices (or any other commodity out there).

Your reservation date means NOTHING when it comes to production scheduling!!!!!!

You should be able to get a tremor for invoice (or lower) plus any available rebates and PCO, where raptor is more than likely MSRP or higher.

I love seeing people post their order date, time stamp , order number , blood type thinking that means anything any more.

Wow thats has to be frustrating. After hearing others in this forums positive experiences with other dealers i would switch. Without a vin or build date what is holding you back?
Exactly what said in my original post. I’m hanging on to see if maybe I can get one in MY21.

Changing dealers means losing what possible position I may have in line.

I am not a Ford guy, but I will wait a bit. I am not in a hurry, I don't need my 2dr, I just want it.

I knew this was an exciting, well sought after, brand new model launch that might be imperfect. I accept that.

My tipping point:
A) does a unit show up on my dealer lot and can I buy that one?
B) Do the prices drop on used early Gen Broncos and can I buy one that meets my needs (or similar vintage K5).
C) does something catastrophic change with my health or family situation.

Otherwise, I am fine waiting.
