MY'22 Black Diamond built 3/14 has the fabric/carpet on both front seats next to the console.

I thought it was weird as the purpose of the MGV is to be "washout", but then the fabric/carpet section is to prevent friction on the console. On the Black Diamond it is much darker than your photo so it doesn't stand out visually.

Does anybody with the MGV seats have this strip of fabric on their passenger seat? The right side doesn’t have it and the drivers seats doesn’t have it.

MY22 badlands here. I have that strip on the interior of both driver and passenger.

I think “washout” is not the same as “hose out”. As in, use a wet sponge or cloth to clean the seats, and a running hose for the floor with a scrub brush, but not a sprayer. I don’t really think they intended for people to use pressurized water to clean the interior…

I count at least two posters here that show this isn’t specifically a build year thing.

I think it’s pretty clear it’s a MY change thing. Ford probably used up the seats they had in stock for the early MY22 builds, then swapped over to the new design when they got their next delivery. Which is why it makes complete sense that there would be a few broncos running around in the wild with Mis-matched MY21 and MY22 seats.

Agree. Never was one in the "hose out" camp. The fabric is also a twill material like the Bestop Sunrider/Trektop. So it would have to take a substantial "soaking" for the inner foam to get wet. I actually like the fabric/carpet by the console.

My 22 black diamond standard package has MGV on passenger side and what I consider neoprene on the driver's side. Annoyed about that cloth on bottom of the area you circled in the picture, that is on both sides

It goes all the way back. I wouldn’t mind on leather but the entire purpose of the MGV is to be water resistant.

So do you really think Ford said “Oh man, we’re gonna get this guy!” That cover was made by one of their vendors and yes, should have been caught, but your statement that ford is trying to screw your is just asinine.

MY OBX Lux also has this strip of cloth. I noticed it when I first got it because it catches dog hair.

i just took delivery of a 22 but its all MGV brother, call ford customer service get it fixed. my rear passenger seat had a nice little razor slash on it too dealer said they would take care of it also.

Mine has all mgv drivers seat, passenger seat has the cloth strip next to the console.
