I see quite a few people mounting the compressors under the hood. Are you not concerned about the heat affecting the compressor?

SOLID. I drove 6 hours on rough, gravel roads yesterday, no issues at all.

Wondering if there’s an ideal PSI for them as far as tread wear and ride comfort.

The lower the pressure, the more comfortable but the fuel mileage suffers. I run my 35s at 40 cold. 22 on gravel roads, and 18 on the beach for traction.

170 miles yesterday down in the Pisgah NF. It was a beautiful day, some people were stunned that a vehicle with less than 200 miles on it was out there. This is why I have it!

Pretty simple to install but I don’t know or do electrical so a friend connected it to the outfitter switches

Me. I took a picture, measured it, then drew it up in Adobe Illustrator, converted file then cut it in Cricut Design Space.

I wouldn't run above the tire sidewall, that's max pressure for the tire at full load. Now 10% over the door sticker is fine and usually what I do as well.
