i got mine at REI, but I’m not sure what the current availability is. Back then the passenger side swing was out of stock everywhere, but the driver side was still available.
Just found one. Thanks, how do you like it so far?

I love it! I use it all the time. The only bad thing is that it’s expensive so I don’t like leaving it on all the time, and it’s heavy so it’s a bit of a pain to remove and install. But most I’m using it enough that I just leave it installed, and it’s fine.

What is the consensus on drivers side vs passenger side swing out? It looks like the Kuat pivots are more available now, with the passenger side swing in stock and the drivers side showing a couple weeks out.

Thinking about other things I might put on the pivot, like a rack with a grill or something, it might be nicer to have the drivers side swing so the tailgate isn’t in the way. I would need to be able to access my fridge and grill at the same time. What am I missing?
I've been meaning to ask to see some vids of folks opening the passenger side all the way and if there is any limits there
I really don't mind my driver side other than blocking the license plate

Only had it for a day, just hauling bike, but passenger side doesn’t inhibit any of the door detents except the 180 position. You can comfortably open it to about 140, and more if you are comfortable resting the door against your rack or whatever is on the pivot. Added benefit of not blocking plate.

It does look like the spare does increasingly encroach on the bike rack as it opens though. What happened if you had the bike in the closet side.

No difference! Same detents still on door. Maybe 5 degrees less.

Thank you all for all the helpful information here. There is a wealth of information on the configs, so I really appreciate it. I picked up my WT a couple weeks back and have been throwing the bike in the back, but I do have a Northshore racks NSR4 that I wanted to try to use with the Bronco.
I found the Pivot v2 on Jensonusa with coupon SAVE20 for $320 or so shipped to my door. Passenger side made the most sense to me - usually I'm parked along a street and dont want to swing out towards the street, easiest to have both the tailgate and the bike pivot out to the passenger side.
If this doesn't work, I might grab a OneUP with a tray or two and the reversing plates, but man that is so pricey (although it will last a lifetime).

I have confirmed with both Kuat and 1Up that neither the Pivot v2 nor the RakAttach 2.0 swing arms are RV rated nor off-road rated on 4wd vehicles. Given this, any thoughts about which system would be strongest for RV and off-road use?

The passenger side one puts your bike over the sidewalk and not into the street. I have the Kuat and the 1UP Super duty single with add-on. You can fully open the tailgate with or without the bikes. Folded and un-folded as well.

Wondering if the Kuat blocking the two innermost parking sensors makes it beep?

Yes. When you put it in reverse it will beep. There is a button on the screen with the backup camera to turn the beep off.
