I think if the FORD Ranger Pick truck uses the 2.3L Ecoboost - so I should have no second thoughts on that - its not much difference 2.3L to 2.7L - i will be economical $$$ and mileage wise too
I’ll be getting the 2.3. My present truck(2017 f150) has the 2.7 and I like it very much. It’s Quick and has great passing power. It also gets me 20-21 mpg on average. I drove an explorer with the 2.3/and was impressed with the engine. It seems like more than enough pickup and passing power. The bronco is about the same size and I figure it’s not worth 3 grand to get the 2.7. i also did some research on the 2.3 and discovered mostly good things said about it from every source. There were problems at the launch of the engine but they seemed to have been pretty much cleared up and you can expect good life from it with regular servicing and oil changes.expected life according to the articles I read was pushing 200,000 miles with the need to have the intake valves cleaned at around 100k miles.
