I have to say that the 2.3 with the 10 speed is a quick combination. Great acceleration. I am super happy with it.
The top off and more rolling resistance with the bigger tires probably make the difference in the last round turbo v turbo.

I am not sure why they took the top off the Bronco to save weight. A soft top on a Jeep has a metal frame, and probably weighs close the the same as the MIC on the Bronco.

That being said, looks like the V6 Jeep is the slowest by far, and the Turbo 4 Jeep is the fastest by far, with the turbo 4 Bronco in the middle. That is about what I'd expect.

Uh, that guy is a bad driver. I have yet to see a Jeep pull out in front of me at city or highway speeds. Probably because of death rattle and whatnot.

Also, TFL will do a better job of this. Where is my TFL Bronco/Jeep racing video?
If you’re in NC then I’ll be glad to show you what the taillights look like on a 2.0L JL 😁

It's good, but taking off the roof to save weight? What's next, remove the spare and all but the driver's seat? Run what ya brung, I say.

Save weight and add wind resistance/drag.

Video is from August, could have sworn this was posted on here months ago. I thought this was new content for a second.
This a totally new video. The one posted a while back was just the 2.3 vs v6

Drag racing off road vehicles… are they going to start comparing Mustang to Challengers off-road next?
I'd actually like to watch that 😂

most Broncos will be driven on the road 99% of the time while Mustangs or Challengers will never be off road unless they lose control and end up in a ditch.

0-60 is a valuable performance measurement for any vehicle driven on the road.

haha  okay
He ain't lying. I have a 2 door 2.0T and it is a rocket from a standing start. The transmission is tuned just right and will chirp the tires going in to 2nd. Mid 5's to 60 make it a blast to floor up freeway on ramps....
Not the most important thing in an off roader, I get it, but if you have short on ramps and a 70mph speed limit, it sure make daily life less stressful...

True, maybe it wasn't posted on here but I must have seen it on youtube. Either way it was from right after the original was uploaded.
Ford Bronco 2.3L Bronco drag races vs. Jeep Wrangler V6 and 2.0T BR

Why do people assume bigger/wider tires have higher rolling resistance?

Does tire size affect rolling resistance?

Tires with a smaller diameter have a higher rolling resistance with the same inflation pressure, because tire deformation is proportionally greater. The tire is flattened more and is “less round”. Wider tires roll better than narrower tires. ... Obviously, tire construction also has an effect on rolling resistance.
