2.7 Badsquatch. Did my engine join the failure club?

Well my truck sat in the garage for the last 2 months while I was away on work travel. I got back today and took it for a ride because I was missing her. Got some fresh gas and was driving home after a 10 mile drive and the engine started to sputter and lost power. I had to limp to the side of the highway to safety and I tried to start her up and no go. Had her towed back to the house and tried again to no avail. I disconnected the battery to see if I can possibly reset the computer. Now all I get is a real fast turn over like the plugs are gone from the engine. I have a buddy that will bring over his scanner to see what is happening. I called the dealer and they said its not sounding good but they need the vehicle. Anyone give me an idea on their experience. Anything else I should be checking? Turned 7K Miles

What's the Date of Manufacture ?? Found on the sticker inside drivers door B pillar.

Get it to the dealer ASAP but snap pics of the engine code date before you do and post them here. If it is a valve failure you'll want to follow up with that info on the engine failure list here. Good luck.

Don’t dick around with it yourself. Get it to the dealer asap.

Spray some starter fluid into the intake and see if it fires. If so, it's just your fuel pump.
