So this weekend, driving my BD 2.7. Engine started coughing,, sputtering & conking out on me. Luckily I made it home. Had it towed to dealer on Sat morning. She is a dirt mountain veteran. Julian number is 21167! Ford on this forum has started a case for me. Just got off the phone with my dealer. Said they can't even look at her for at least a week!!!!!
4,400 miles on her. Never had a problem till now!!!! The last time I saw my Nellie

So is this #32?

@Lucchese Update on mine. An engine was sourced on Friday afternoon. Ford's executive office called me on Saturday to let me know, it was at the plant and ready to ship. Hopefully we will see it soon and I'll be back up and running.
Alpharetta?Roswell? ,beautiful area you live in.😊

When your replacement comes in , would you please post up a picture of the engine build sticker?

Thank you ,
George

I'm in Lawrenceville! I will post a picture once installed. I see you're in Alabama! I went to school in Tuscaloosa.

Cheers!

we'll my sales manager from dealer is a friend.... says they are on it!! a day or 2 at most.....🤞
Good to hear. I think another member on here had also experienced a long eta projection like you but was able to get in contact with the a Ford rep that was able to get it expedited at the dealer. If for some reason the dealer doesn't get to it in a couple days, try reaching out to a Ford directly to see if they can get the dealer to move a little faster.

I reached out to Ford on here first. They created a case file. Then they called me. Told me delays in seeing truck were from dealer. Nothing they could do!!!!

I've been following this thread by the updated title (31 failures) and don't understand why it still has momentum. Seems like the occurrence of failures is decelerating ......
People keep forgetting, the deliveries were not being made, so of course the numbers are going to appear to go down. But Ford just released a whole bunch at dirt mountain, and as all these new delivered Broncos start putting on the miles, The numbers are probably going to go back up.

Hopefully, just hopefully, the date ranges still stay within that zone however Even though we will probably continue to see blown motors for months (because of mileage)

Wonder if You should call and ask them if it's an AA or an AB... Because if it's an AA motor built within our range, I'd almost tell him don't bother!

Should I be worried? I’m not sure how to decipher my engine build date (I understand the 2021)
Went into production 11/09/21, delivered 11/22/21
Thanks for your help

Gina,
The "306" after 21"306" means that you r engine was manufactured on the 306th day of 2021.
or November 2, 2021. It is the AA suffix, if you look above the large 121. Should you be worried?
There is an unknown percentage of failures for the AA revision engine. It's covered by warranty and no sense worrying about it.
Regards,
George
