I use Ronin. Simple, quality product an on Amazon. One and done....
Ok, yeah, I just got my ronin and got a 5/8 clear vinyl tube 2ft long. Waiting on my prepaid maintenance oil change and hopefully the dealership will not refuse to install it for me. Then I will be set for the long term

What's the part number for the OEM drain plug and just the O ring?

Would like to keep it all Ford until the warranty runs out to avoid any warranty issues.

The plug is KX6Z-6730-B
Catalog doesn't show the o-ring available separately

Hello Ducati1098, what’s the part number for the 2.7 oil filter housing please? A quick search makes it seem like it’s an assembly including a filter and o-rings? Thank you for your time!

And yes, the catalog shows it only comes loaded with a filter and o-rings.

Ducati I am finding the part number you give as the housing and the filter. The part number I find is KU2Z-6731-A and is just for the filter element.

Yes, I posted the whole housing part number because that is what was asked for.

KU2Z-6731-A is correct for just the filter and o-rings alone.

Ok, great, thanks for the information, appreciate your help. I just went back and reread the question, need to work on my reading skills. ;)

For those who bought an aftermarket drain plug. Does it seem they are more restrictive versus the factor plug on how much oil it drains? All these aftermarket ones that aren't like the OEM style looks they are screwed into the factory location. Which leaves the actually opening the oil flows through higher from the bottom of the pan than the wider opening of the OEM drain. In theory this will leave more used oil in the pan; than if it was drained by removing the factory yellow plug.

They’re definitely meant to slow and control the flow and there’s probably a negligible amount of old oil left in the pan if allowed to drain the amount of time recommended but does anyone see an oil change service waiting up to 30 minutes for a complete drain? Ha!

You can always completely remove the plug after it finishes draining, to get any residual amount.

I just did the first oil change (15k miles) this weekend after installing a UPR drain plug (10k miles) on my 2.7. It was SOOOOOO much easier being able to hook up a .5" hose to the plug to start the oil drain instead of the huge splash of hot oil the factory yellow plug does. Damn, it was so much better. Highly recommend.

An extractor works great, there is maybe 1/3 of a quart leftover when you remove the plug which is infinitely easier to handle than 6 quarts being dumped on you.

Install a Ronan plug and then install a permanent hose onto the fitting. Then when you change your oil you will never loose a drop of oil on anything.
