I think the Maverick is being made in Mexico with the Escape , and not covered by this agreement.
The Escape isn't going to Mexico.

The Mexican plant hasn't been confirmed yet as to where the Baby Bronco is winding up at. I've heard Cacutalian but someone mentioned Hermosillo (where the Fusion/MKZ are at and the C class pickup and Transit connect are supposed to be built), but no info has been put out as to when the Fusion is going out of production and one of the documents stated that there will be a Bronco available at the end of next year-which would point to the baby Bronco, considering the fullsize bronco isn't starting till December or so of 2020.

If you consider the upcoming Bronco-its bigger then the old "full sized" one from the 1990s

Just in length, or in other dimensions as well?

And... I'm going to use my brain and attempt to deduce that you mean the new 4-door Bronco. Any speculation on the 2-door?

If the only way to get a fold-down tailgate was a few hundred bucks of aftermarket add ons, how many people would go for it?

What if it was a factory option?

I'd entertain the idea. I like the extra cargo options that a fold down tailgate provides. And being at to use it as a seat/work surface.

If they do the side swing open style, maybe they can incorporate a fold down table into the door. I'm doing this on my samurai soon...

I think it's going to have a retractable window but have a swingout gate, personally that's just seems like the easiest option to not directly copy jeep and have a removable top and not take 15mins lowering the rear window to drop down the tail gate, would also be dope as the rear tire carrier and tailgate would be one motion

I absolutely would

If Bronco comes with a swinggate (looking like it is), then a dropdown tailgate will be my very first modification. I find no use whatsoever in a swinggate
