Anybody else being asked to pay $500.00 to order a 2022 Bronco? I'm going to the dealer tomorrow, and was told it'll be a $500.00 deposit, although Ford still says $100.00?!

I paid the five Hundo Let them know I’m not just fishing for a bronco. I’ve already taken 120 hours of their life asking for updates. Joke

Ordered mine back in November. Can confirm that it was $500 deposit. Some dealerships around me were charging $1000. I don’t believe it has an affect on when you’ll get a bronco. How much you pay that is for a deposit. I paid $500 and mine got built the week of January 17th.

My local dealer a mile away from me asked for a $2k non-refundable deposit to ‘make sure I was serious.’ I ordered from a different dealer 50 miles away with $0 down. My wife just ordered a Mach-E and her dealership asked for $500. We paid it. Not backing out anyway…

I have three different orders at three different dealers with zero deposit on each. Two other dealers I was talking to wanted a deposit. One was $500 and one was $1000. I personally don't see the need. Not like they are taking a risk. Every customer that walks away is a stock unit they can charge ADM on. Win win for them.

Mine was a fully refundable $1000, a few weeks prior they were doing $500. I believe they do that to discourage buyer's that aren't serious.

Yeah, but Ford does hold them to a certain percentage of completed deliveries to original order placer.

My dealer tried getting me to put $5,000 down. We settled at $2,000.

Dealers are doing this to protect themselves and not get penalized by Ford. Ford started doing a name match audit on all Bronco sales to make sure it matches with the name that ordered it because dealers were creating orders under fake names to increase their allocation. It also limits the number of people ordering multiple Broncos and buying the one that comes in first.

They told me a 12 to 18 months and probably will turn into a 23. I said thanks. My order was 4 door, 2.3, big bend, 10 spd, soft top. No other options added. So we will see.

Get the final price in writing and signed by the manager! Way too many people skip this step then come back to 6G with stories of $10,000 surprise markups.
