Reserve Navy Master at Arms (and prior Coastie). I’ll be spending the waiting period deployed.

Glad I popped on to this thread, I was not familiar with MAS. I had asked my local dealer with whom I am currently reserved and they advised they absolutely would NOT hold the vehicle until I am CONUS to accept delivery. They also won’t match pricing from Stephens. I called Stephens and he took my number but never got back to me on that question.

I’ll have to peruse all 12 pages of this thread to see if it has been covered how theMAS program handles reservation location in terms of where you are in the queue.

Yeah, @jrbaker79 this thread unfortunately gets buried from time to time, although there's quite a few vets and currently serving in here on the site...

A sticky is a no-go, b/c we staff try to keep the #s of stickys fairly low (b/c they lose their ..stickiness'?)

Maybe we can start adding funny stories (like retention reaching out to a guy medically retired 3 yrs ago  ) and or pics (within the bounds of OPSEC for my secret squirrels on here)....maybe that'll keep it bumped up from time to time.

I'll add a funny story. So many of you have seen me post about my superstar kid Zac (SSG/E-6) at Rucker.

This is how you know you may have been raised by an old crusty NCO, he has a little bit of an old-school streak.

So he's at the shoppette and this kid comes flying into the parking lot on a Friday w/ some tasteful music BLARING. As all of you guys are aware, lots of retirees and families at the shoppette on a Fri afternoon/evening.

So anyways, Zac hollers at the kid to stand fast & lock it up and proceeds to provide some corrective training to the young Specialist (SPC/E4) why he needs to slow down, turn down his music that was blaring some not so family friendly lyrics, etc.

When he's done chewing the kid out, the SPC tells him, "Have a good weekend SSG."

Zac's response? "Don't tell me what the F*** to do. Carry-On"

I immediately turned into the Star Wars Emperor, "Gooooooooooodddddd":ROFLMAO: so proud LOL Flexing those stripes!

And when Zac was done? The MP company 1SG was there too, and he hollers at the kid, "And when he's done with you, COME OVER HERE!!!" HaHaHa what a way to start his weekend!

Isn't it fun to see yourself in your kids? My son recently got back from Afghanistan doing a tour for SOCOM, and couldn't tell me anything except the funny stuff. There are times when you know you raised them right.

Active Army, been in 12 years. I teach Army, Navy and Airforce how to shock themselves working on medical equipment. Spent a couple of years at a hospital fixing medical imaging stuff and nearly a decade at Ft Hood wearing a big silly patch with a horse head on it.

Not enough Velcro real estate for that stupid patch.

Army vet of 8 years. Engineer. Spent most my time jumping out of planes or riding around in Strykers. Reserved 2 door Badlands that should be seeing more trail time than my previous vics.

What's the guidance on wearing that patch over the pocket flap?
We all use to do it in the old UCP ACUs. The new ACUs don't have flap pockets so it's not a problem(not sure when you got out). I would assume it's still a thing on the IHWU, but I only wear it on my right side now
