Ksjrb03, did you ever finish your LED strip version? That's my favorite concept so far.

I ran them behind the airbags. I'm sure our 80's has-been who's never going to give you up or let you down will find some imminent safety concern for that as well.Yea. I have a hard top myself
If I could figure a way to halfway hide the wires I’ll use that spot
Any idea where my closest AUX switch wire is for this location?
(How did you hide your wires?)
They're attached to the pillar covers with 4-40 screws/nuts
Yep, there's a decent cavity behind the pillar covers, so using 1/2" screws didn't interfere with anything. 2 holes for the screws, one in the center for the wire to pass, and Bob's your Uncle.Ok thanks
So you screwed into the plastic?
No, I refuse to use an aux switch and am on pause working on other projects. I was hoping a vendor I reached out to would be interested. I still have them taped up there lol. It’s a perfect solution and the only way I would go, I’m staying away from the airbags personally.Ksjrb03, did you ever finish your LED strip version? That's my favorite concept so far.
Can't wait to see the "How to" on getting this done!
I can’t really convince myself this is a real solution, but I have to admit it’s pretty damn pimp. Well done.
How so? It's a relay triggered by illuminating the dome lights. Science, bitches!I can’t really convince myself this is a real solution, but I have to admit it’s pretty damn pimp. Well done.
Not much to it. Just used the constant 12v (yellow wire) to feed power to the relay, then jumpered that wire to the relay's input, then hooked the additional LEDs power wire to the other side of the switched side, grounded the relay and additional LEDs to the black wire, glued the light sensor in the dome light, wrapped the circuit board with electric tape, and Bob's your uncle. Can't wait to see the "How to" on getting this done!
