Understood less seams = less leaks. Although, on the stock system, the removal of the midpanel is nice as it goes to convertible mode for the family without much effort. But I think the best part about the stock system is that the front panels are split, so it's easy to toss them in the trunk for those shorter drives or impromptu "sunroof" moments when you want to pull over and take off the front panels. Unfortunately, both these features are missing... in exchange for the better reliability. If anything this teaches us that Fords multi-panel system crosses some boundary that if you want all this functionality you have to live with occasional minor leaks. With that said, if my top does have more leaks down the road this is certainly a safer option.
