Any one have experience or tips on removing the Aeroskin deflector? I bought mine with it already installed and don’t think i love the look.

Use a thick fishing line and saw it back and forth pulling hard. That will cut through the VHB foam. Once you have the deflector off now you will have to remove the bottom half of the VHB. Use isopropyl alcohol and a rag. It will take some elbow grease but it will come off. Soak the remaining foam with the alcohol. It drys up the adhesive, but as the alcohol evaporates it will readhering itself. Just keep reapplying and rubbing.

be careful with goo gone or goof off.... they can cloud the clear coat... use the isopropyl.

Looks fine to me but to each their own. Good insurance against a cracked or broken windshield. But removal is what others posted, bare in mind that's serious stuff holding it on it won't be a walk in the park.

Agree with the solutions, the look may not be what you want but if you live where bugs get hot n heavy you will be glad you kept it on

I recently added one to my Bronco after I got quite a few pits. I noticed a lot fewer dings from road rocks, and the wind noise was somewhat reduced.

It did cause the painted bracket for the roof racks on the top of the windsheilds to flutter though, so I had to firm those up some.

About 45 days later, yeah, a rock cratered my windshield and shattered it good. But that rock was like getting shot by a gun. So it won't prevent all windshield damage, but it did help. And the noise reduction, while not major, was noticable.

I had one and it caused weird aerodynamic issues with my soft top and hurt the mpg (who cares tho). I removed it after about 2 weeks and it actually came right off. It was summer so the van was still nice and pliable

This 100% every Bronco I have seen with a cracked windshield was missing the deflector

I would also comment... I have had my bronco for a year now... I got 2 stone chips the first month of ownership... one developed into a crack.. put the deflector on in ~month 2.. haven't had one since.

Does anyone know if they are making these for the Braptor yet? They weren't when I got mine last August...
