I know the hood scoop gets a lot of hate but I think it looks pretty cool and goes well with the deflector. Matches the flares and bumpers very well IMO.

As much as the hood scoop gets a lot of grief for not being “functional,” how many folks have shackles, a winch, lights, etc. which will never be used for their “function”?

It'll be interesting to see if the combination of the scoop and deflector helps lessen the number of rock impacts/broken windshields. I've been toying with the same set up once mine arrives...

I just had a rock go through this area of my XPel Stealth to the bare metal and wish I had this. Was trying to pass a rock truck to avoid this as it hit the ramp to the highway and no luck.

Technically it’s a called a retro cowl but no one ever knows what that means. Pretty much a non functional of the raptor hood.

I wouldn’t sweat it, my TRX has a functional hood scoop, but non functional heat extractors from the factory. I added a black decal in that same section of my Bronco hood to break up the A51. Looks good IMO.

Imo I thought the cowl was better looking than the carbon hood. I did cut out the non functional on that and made it fully functional.
