LCA cam bolts are loose after alignment 4 months ago (evidence of uneven tire wear and occasional bumpy ride). Do I:
1. Replace the original OEM hardware and get new alignment at local tire shop. These are supposed to be "one time use" and originals were not perfect after removal.
2. Replace hardware with BDS Alignment Cam Lockout Plates and get alignment at 4X4 shop.
3. 1 or 2 and use this as an opportunity to raise my 6100 circlip again... :)

A lot of folks have had issues with the locking pins sheering off, so I'd say #2 is not a bad idea. I'm all for #3 though.

Also - it helps to mark the alignment plate with a paint pen - that way you can at least get it back to close if it ever works loose again. One of those lessons I learned the hard way.

I just did the BDS because I was having the same problem. Beyond just the fact that they locate the pins, they are WAY easier to torque correctly without throwing off alignment and am willing to bet that has the most impact on keeping things from moving.

I think many times alignment shops don’t hit the specified torque and that causes issues. I have tried to verify and torque the cams after getting a fresh alignment but torquing the nut while holding the bolt to keep it from moving isn’t easy.

Only thing I would say is you can do #3 in reserve order like I did so you don’t need to find someone willing to work on aligning the lockouts. Get an alignment, mark the cams, pull them out and find the hole on the bds plate that matches, put the bds on, and torque to 210 without fear! To be fair I haven’t gone back to an alignment shop to check my work but drives great.

Thank all! Luckily I do have the factory alignment positions marked. Forgot to mark after post-lift alignment, but have a good idea where they were at. Ordering new hardware regardless. Not surprised if the shop struggled (or even attempted) to reach full torque.

Let us know how it goes! I have that hardware coming too, and will add it at/after my next alignment.
