Sept 21 delivery and currently at 25,509 miles. Daily driver and a long trip to Colorado from GA last summer.

Just over 7 months and I'm just under 15k miles so far. Just had the steering gear replaced under warranty. They don't know why it failed so prematurely. My VIN was not flagged for this recall

How did you know your steering gear had issues or was going to fail?

I got completely overwhelmed trying to keep up with requests here and just kind of bugged out. Then both businesses got crazy, life got busy, and I bought a project Navigator L to keep me busy for a bit!

Seeing some of these numbers makes my butt numb just reading!

Delivery November 12th 2021, I'll roll over 10,000 miles this week.

Got mine 11/2/21. 8900 miles, 2 months in shop last summer for engine replacement (dropped valve) and going in for rear hard top replacement any day (delamination, top came in right away but headliner bo'd.) Yes, two major issues so far but taken care of and love my rig.

How did you know your steering gear had issues or was going to fail?

I noticed oddities with the steering both inside and outside the vehicle

You could hear a light grinding sound when turning the wheels any amount in any direction

The steering wheel also wouldn't return to center all of the time, but sometimes it would

When making small adjustments while driving down the road, the wheel would "fight" me at times. As in I'd have to apply more force to get past a sticking point which would happen at any angle and any speed, regardless of terrain

I initially thought the orbital valve was failing (return to center), but it wasn't happening all the time, so my next hunch was the steering box needed to be adjusted or something (I didn't really know, I was guessing)

I pointed out the odd sound to a service technician and he said they'd check it out. A couple of days later I got a call saying the steering gear had failed, it wasn't safe to drive, and they had to order a new one which would take five days to arrive

I have the Bronco back and it feels brand new again

I got mine in nov 21. At 56700 now. Drive it to work daily (106 round trip) and around my brothers ranch. It has been to Moab and around telluride as well. I have had three issues. Two electrical shorts in the back up camera. The wiring harness was kinked when it was manufactured. And a leak in the windshield washer line. I found how to access it on this forum and fixed the connector with a hose clamp. I will trade it next month before the value starts dropping assuming my 2023 is not delayed in being built. Both b.
