I really just want 2 cross bars on the rear of my MIC top, that install and create a foundation and a modular rail that bolts on to those rear bars to tie forward to the front mounts IF I need them.

that way I can have my maxtrax and scene lighting installed all the time on the rear section of the hard top and still be able to pull off my top panels or use a sun rider style top.

then if I need to toss on my RTT I could add the forward bars and be good to go.

the modular part would look like this. Orange being the rear bars that stay on all the time and blue being the optional add on section for larger items.

I concur with this idea

Yesterday I placed my order for the Gobi Rack.... i prefer the lines of that one over the TCBronco version... :)
Would love to see some pictures of the Gobi Rack installed!

Since there was no reply I'm guessing this project is for sure dead.

I'm going with TrailRax for this.

Project isn't dead. Just needing to get out from under projects in flight. We're on it full force now. Light bar/light mounts, air deflector, billet front/rear mounts, modular design, and aluminum + stainless steel + carbon fiber. It's going to be saucy. ;) If Trailrax is your bar of measurement, we're about to set the bar for a different league.

Renders should be available before Thanksgiving with production before Christmas.

Any renders yet? Been holding out on buying trailrax for black Friday if they even mark theirs down. But I'd much rather give AR more of my money since I'm sure I'll love what you make.

Actually, Yes! These were the preliminary renders to get the size and proportions squared away. The rack/light bar/air dam will be able to be individually purchased, according to your needs, but will all work together seamlessly when fully accessorized. The upper mount for the limb risers will be incorporated too. Another week and we’ll have a completed render to share.

All of the typical asks will be addressed.

• overall lightweight
• ability to remove roof panels without removing the rack
• zero maintenance materials (aluminum extrusion, stainless steel, machined billet aluminum, carbon fiber composite, and carbon fiber. (The sauce will be dripping off this one)
• modular design
• highly configurable
• easy to install/remove
• might ship assembled or as a kit (I’m thinking about offering both. Assembled will cost more for assembly time and shipping, but it will get you up and running in little time.
• all rack to vehicle mounts will be machined billet (not sheet metal) and be able to handle more weight than you’ll feel comfortable placing on a roof rack.
• chase light integration will be available
• supporting equipment mounts (DMOS shovel/Rotopax/Maxtrax

Any plans to make a shorter platform version with chase rack for soft tops?

Yes! The design is fully modular. We’ll get a render together of that design also.
