Good to know, have to turn off my automatic headlights every time I start my Sierra, so it's just a thing...The Button
I have it in my Ranger and I'd always forget. So this was just easier to set and forget it. When I got my truck it was July so the ac was on all the time which kills the A/S/S. It wasn't until October that I realized how much I hate this feature.?
I push it every time I drive my F-150, it’s not so bad after awhile.

Sorry this made me LOL and I had to post it. Great idea though.Just plug something like an LED nightlight into the 110v outlet. It will kill the A/S/S and only cost you about $4.00. Been doing this for over a year now with my Ranger.
The AC - unless it is on MAX or the vent seats are activated - does not kill the A/S/S in my 17 Raptor . . . but I don't really give it much thought anyway . . . that's why, as mentioned, there is a simple button to deactivate.I have it in my Ranger and I'd always forget. You can usually turn it off. At least in so e vehicles there's a button that turns auto start on/offthanks for the replies. Such crap that Ford forces that on you...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Start-stop_systemI am unfamiliar with this feature. Is it a gas saving device and if so does anyone know what percentage of improvement it is supposed to yield?
But why spend $100 when you can spend $4.00 on a night light to do the same? See post #4.If you don’t like it just add an auto start stop eliminator. You can still use it if you want but it remembers your previous setting. That saves you from pulling a fuse and having an idiot light.
