So I have not read this whole thread but let me know if this came up.

I have a reservation for Badlands 4 door. I want to add auto trans, Sasquatch, mid package, hardtop - since Badlands starts at almost 45k I am thinking this will take the price up to about 53k or more.

Should I just get the Wildtrak that has all those things included for 51k ??
Depends on how bad you want the sway bar disconnect.

I plunked down $100 for the 4 door Manual trans Badlands, but might go with the Black diamond and option up. Outer Banks seems mall-crawly to me, so probably going to skip that one?
Not sure on options yet, but thinking about the better stereo, possibly the 12" screen, possibly the sasquatch upgrade, rock rails and skid plates, roof rack for the kayak and MTB's. Not sure what else I want on it yet!

I see several reasons to start with Badlands over Wildtrak: the Disconnect, the Rock-Crawl mode, the Bumper and Aux Switches. If you want an MT. etc. Of course, owning a Rubicon, it took me about 5 seconds to pick Badlands.

4 Door Badlands. (Coolest Name)
-2.7/auto.
-Modular Hard Top (Black or body match)
-33" will be great
-hoping for more colors, but Antimatter Blue is my current favorite(or white...)
-Waiting to see how the med/high/lux packages work...but want the B&O, don't need a 12" screen tho... At least getting the Med package.
-Tow Package? No details on what that brings...hope it brings 5,000 lbs tow capacity!!
-Love the Grille on the Badlands, and comes with the signature headlights, one of the reasons I couldn't go with the Black Diamond...
-Need to add LED bars/lights, Wench, Slide out Tailgate, Air Compressor, Kayak Rack?...

Current plan is 2 door, 7MT Badsquatch. May do the mid package. Velocity Blue, Area 51, and Cyber Orange are my current color choices.

Still debating a reserve since I don’t want to take delivery until next July/August, but this is what I will be getting:

2 Door
2.7 Ecoboost V6
Area 51. Debating either White or Black hardtop with body color BRONCO badge
Badlands
Sasquash Pack
Mid/and Lux. All tech possible including upgraded stereo a must for B&O
Vinyl seats I think with rubber floor a must
Upgrade steel bumper with stinger
Warn Zeon winch
Roof rack

Think that just about covers my build. Likely will come in at around $52K-$55K I’d guess. Anything cheaper would be a win.

Need to use the configurator. Beauty is that I don’t think will need to go to aftermarket at all unless I want to lift an extra inch in a couple of years.

I want a badlands but I plan on getting my own 35" tires. Do I really need the sasquatch package? Doesn't the badlands already come with everything in the sasquatch package except the wheels and tires?

No 4.7 gearing in the stock Badlands with the automatic transmissions. Not sure if the Badlands has the high clearance suspension and fenders of the Sasquatch or not, but it does have the rest. I'm in the same boat. I would prefer to get my own tires unless I the dealer would allow me to order with the tires I want.

Edited to provide more precise gearing information.

Isn't the manual trans gearing pretty close to 4.7?

incorrect, the Manual has a 4.7 gear. Auto has 4.46.

It is a big deal to me too. I am hoping I can get: 4dr Badlands + want the vinyl seats + rubber floor + Sasquatch + LUX + 2.7 (which obviously comes with the 10-speed auto)

I am hoping "Lux" doesn't also come with leather seats. Hopefully, they make that a separate option entirely.
Seems like Lux doesn't add leather on the Badlands, according to the packages/options one-sheet on the Ford site.
