More sidewall is less lateral stability in the tire, more rubber. You don’t see performance cars with tall tires for a reason, obviously an exaggerated example. Ya knowWhy would to much sidewall be bad?
Ok, J.G. WentworthAgreed, pricing gets steep quickly for the bells and whistles and I'd rather throw money at the sasquatch and the base and make it my own from there. I want the build and price. and I want it now!
Any one buying a Bronco in any factory configuration that thinks they are getting on road speed and cornering will be quite disappointed...and we will see those posts next year.More sidewall is less lateral stability in the tire, more rubber. That’s why I gave the exaggerated example, just to make the point to whoever asked. I agree, you aren’t getting superior handling but everyone can chooseAny one buying a Bronco in any factory configuration that thinks they are getting on road speed and cornering will be quite disappointed...and we will see those posts next year.
Considering getting oth- base with the 2.7 and the SasquatchAnyone considering Base Model with 2.7L EB Engine Option instead of Sasquatch Pkg?
This is exactly what I'm thinking. Too soon to tell but I'm having my doubts as to how fun it will be taking 35" mud tires on snow on the interstate at 80-90 mph. As pretty as it looks, I may punt the Sasquatch package...which frees up cash for other options. Lots to think about and probably too soon to know for sure.Anyone considering Base Model with 2.7L EB Engine Option instead of Sasquatch Pkg?
I will be getting Snow Tires and still save money if I skip the Sasq. Pkg. As No one know how much the Pkg would be and not many people advise the 35" tires due to road noise at highway speed and on the Street, they sound sticky flip floppingThis is exactly what I'm thinking. 80-90mph on the interstate in the snow....? What tires do you plan on using? This is exactly what I'm thinking. The ATs that come with it should do fine. This is how people in Colorado drive on I-25 and I-70 all winter. Until they hit ski traffic...then that crawl mode may come in handy.80-90mph on the interstate in the snow....? What tires do you plan on using?
the base model doesn't come with ATs. its either HTs or MTsThe ATs that come with it should do fine. This is how people in Colorado drive on I-25 and I-70 all winter. Until they hit ski traffic...then that crawl mode may come in handy.
Kidding...but seriously, I do 70 on the highway in winter snow and a lot of people buzz past me going a whole lot faster in passenger cars. I may get snow tires, too.
Considering base with sas, or black diamond and I will just get 33s. Black diamond also has 4.46 gearing so I think you could do 35s later with thoseAnyone considering Base Model with 2.7L EB Engine Option instead of Sasquatch Pkg?
