I recently bought a 2023 Wildtrack. The first weekend I followed a buddy with his Bronco on a level 6 trail. I was amazed. I also dented my rock sliders (fine) and found out that I need bash plates. No underbody damage, just scratches in my fuel tank and rock sliders.

What are best? I've looked at the websites for RCI and StinkyFab. Both look good. However, I didn't see any gas tank plates at Stinkyfab. Any other strong recommendations? Any thoughts on 3/16" steel vs. 1/4" Al?

I went with Fords oem package as it included gas tank skid, was not as heavy as most aftermarket steel options, and was priced below most aftermarket options. I added trans and shock skids from aftermarket

I have the RCI rock sliders and skid plates. No complaints here.

The OEM set is roughly $650 when it's on sale, and the included gas tank skid on it. It is a one piece unlike some aftermarket one's. The cheaper aftermarket kits want around $600 (with shipping) for the gas tank skid alone. Tricky Dick has a great photo of the OEM set on the trail

Ford kit, if you can get Ford Performance to actually deliver, is not a bad deal. I'm 1-3 on getting Ford Performance to actually get anything to my dealers though, and that 1 required me to pull teeth and lots of phone calls. So I'm done ordering anything from Ford unless it's a deal so good I'm willing to pull teeth.

This is where I went to after my Ford order fell through

https://talonsgarage.com/collections/bronco-collection

I got the front half done, waiting on my bank account to recover from Christmas to do the back half this Spring. Only been out with them a couple of times, so can't say how they will hold up over time, but so far happy with them.

Yeah - I was running 6's, not too bad but a few hits. I tried a 7 and thought "its just one small step higher, how bad can it be." I was wrong - I nearly lost my fuel tank. And realized I needed to invest in some plates too.

I went with the RCI skids and rock sliders on my 22 Wildtrack. I did the steel plates, but kind of wish I went with AL to keep the weight off. The OEM plates look decent other than the odd cutout exposing the front diff.

I have a 23 Wildtrak and went with the Smittybilt skid plates. Solid as hell, zinc coating, easy install. Here’s a pic of the Smittybilt vs Stock. They run about $750 without a discount.

I went with SFR ( @StinkBug ) for skids and bumpers. I started with the bumpers because they are tucked up tight, light weight, and I can get them in raw steel (for fab'd on addons).

Was able to get most of the skids installed in an hour or two last weekend. Will add the V6 brace skids next opportunity. Also got the intercooler brackets (already installed) and crash bar deletes (next weekend).

It appears that some of the very earliest Bronco models are missing 1 or 2 holes at the rear of the tranny crossmember. Mine is missing one which I will mark and rivet nut. Otherwise, everything fit up easily if you work your way around logically. 3/16" zinc plated steel everywhere, burly and well made.

Lastly, great customer service, they cut me a bit of a deal for the large order, nearly instantly responsive over email every time I have a question.
