I find slippery is the mode to be. Normal 4A does not respond quick enough on icy bits, the rear wheels need to essentially spin right out before the 4A kicks in and engages the front tires. 4A slippery seems to do a decent job. But once it gets icy, even the 4A Slippery I find kind of sucks compared to my AWD Audi car, so then I stick it into 4H. Throw it back into 4A slippery once I get off the slick stuff and onto the pavement/snow patches.

Slippery or 4A is perfect.

A big snow storm is heading my way this weekend. I haven't had a chance to drive in any snow yet so looking for suggestions on the best snow config. I know there's a slippery setting on GOAT but what about 4A vs 4H? Also, any benefit to adjusting the differential? I have a base sqautch - mostly stock. Thanks all !
everything wide ass open

What kind of snow? How fast are you going? Is there ice under the snow?

If people are driving relatively normal speeds, just stick with 2H.

If you can tell you're losing traction then slow down and maybe use slippery and 4A(if you have it).

Very tough going and moving very slow in mush or on ice, 4H.

I was playing around with my bronco and Subaru (2016 manual imprezza)in last weeks storm.

I thought the Subaru with snow tires was better than bronco 4a but worse than bronco 4h. Full snow coverage. Badlands tires.
That's great to know! Thanks for sharing some real-world experience.

For what we’re suppose to get. I’d say 4 high sport or Baja, knobby tires with some studs. Whine that rpm out. Least that’s my plan.

Time for the bronco to do what I bought it to do.
