No worries, they’ll just keep jacking the price up and blame Build & Price “glitches”.
"Software rounding.. Yeah that is what we'll call it."

The 30% initial ford figure makes shoot from the hip sense.

30% of 200k reservations is 60k, if the plan is to make 70k for 21 that is rounded down and in line.

Bright side alert - as I had posted many pages ago now, I believe pull thru will be in the 40% of reservations level. That 40% pull thru and 30% of 200k comes out to a difference of 20k.

Even if things get magical and Ford hits 50% that is 100k actual orders still meaning 70% of reservations get built.

Fords dream of 70%
200k * .7 = 140k initial 30% allocation is only 42k or 28k shy of 70k production.
half of this production is 22.

My theory of at best 40%
200k * .4 = 80k initial 30% is 24k is 46k shy of 70k production. At 80k or 12.5% over 70k.
only 10k does not get made in 21 and the first 10k 22's are already sold.

Lets say ford hits 50%
200k * .5 = 100k initial 30% is 30k and 40k shy of 70k production. at 100k 30% over 70k.
30k end up as 22 models

I think this is in a good way Ford under promising. I think it is also someone building in a "win"...hey we had 0 chance of meeting demand at 200k...we made changes by listening to the customers and were able to get build in demand and builds pushed to 22. Customers willing to wait for changes win, ford win, customers that wanted a 21 a majority get them win. Think of it as political mumbo jumbo...at least what I would expect someone to spin to. Way to many things in play and we will know more once ford has actual reservations.

With an early morning 7/14 reservation I am as confident as I can be that I will get a MY21 Bronco because I have word from my dealer that I am within the window of their allocations. What for the life of me I do not understand is why Ford has kept open the reservation window? I find it hard to believe that they just realized that they can only build 70K Broncos for MY21 and they have spent 6 months promoting false hope for thousands of reservation holders. This and their metering out pics and details when the frenzy subsides to stoke the fire is manipulation on a grand scale, and we suck it up like a lost man in the desert discovering water. I see a massive PR nightmare for them on the horizon and it will be one that they created themselves.
Having said that, I will gladly order and receive my Bronco. Rant Complete!
165,000 * 40% = 66,000 Broncos......
They’re expecting a 50% or less reservation to order rate.
Mu guess ???

You’re starting high. Sept cut off had reservations closer to 165,000 (mid Aug number from Ford). Pre 9/18 rez are probably in the 170K - 180K range.

I think the last number was around 190k. I am aiming a little high to pad the numbers a bit to give the benefit of the doubt.

10-4 You’re right about the 190,000, but wasn’t that an Oct #?

I placed my reservation late because I wanted a later bronco so I could make a few more payment on my current truck. This is just leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I’m not sure why ordering and building the bronco is taking so long. You have almost 200000 people willing to buy your vehicle and you hurry to release the bronco sport? ?. I don’t see how the tops of the bronco could be an issue. I understand COVID-19 and all that stuff but I don’t think jeep has a shortage of hard tops and they sell more Jeep’s than the 190000 Broncos ford is having trouble getting parts for. For all those people waiting for the 2022 model year how do you know it will be on time? It almost feels like they don’t want us to buy the bronco. I’m tempted to just get a cheaper Toyota 4Runner trd pro out of spite. To be honest the bronco seems to be the only vehicle Ford is having issues with. It’s always something with the bronco and it’s getting kinda old. I don’t think it’s a supply issue I think it’s something else. Maybe ford wants to sell these bronco sports first and think we will get impatient and buy one. We all know 2022 will be delayed too so let’s stop pretending like we are ok waiting.

Your impression definitely isn’t correct. Ford has had massive issues launching almost all their new models lately. Just look at the explorer and f150...

yeah, 200k from 190k since Oct I don't think is too out there. 200k could be a little high or low even...it is a realistic starting point and easy to work with.

I’m thinking that I should move my second reservation to the dealer that has my first reservation and convert both to orders in the window. 2nd reservation is late July. 2nd reservation helps bump the dealers allocation to get my first reservation delivered MY 21.

Wait, why did I just give B6G my plan for world domination?
