What are the differences? Specifically wondering if a Jeep M220 AdvanTEK diff cover will work on our Broncos. There's more choices and at better pricing...

The locker coil is different, and the Bronco has an additional spacer plate. I can’t recall what the spline count is on the Jeep to say if it’s the same or not.

I do know Jeep folks have gotten Bronco ELD coils to work, but their wiring is a bit different

I’m also not certain if the carrier bearings are the same or not. It is the same ring/pinion sets though (although Ford has some custom ratios there). If the carrier bearings are different I don’t think the covers will be interchangeable.

The cover works, but the center fin hits the panhard bar. If you grind it flush right in the center it works (the Dana guys told me this is what they did to make the "Bronco" version)

I would be real interested if the TeraFlex cover fits. Since I can’t seem to get the Ford Performance cover…. Still waiting on their FU….

I ordered a TeraFlex cover for my CJ3A (Willys) front Dana 25, and it interfered with the ring gear ….5.38 ratio. I liked the cover, especially the “inspection” port, and it was only around 0.110” interferience, so I ground it out slightly and it is currently sealed in place. Several vendors are selling this cover as a fit for the Dana 25/27/30, but Teraflex only indicates it‘s a fit for the Dana 30. Nice cover and heavy duty.

I ordered a second TeraFlex cover for the CJ3A rear Dana 44 and although the bolt pattern seemed to match, the interferience with the ring gear was significant. Too significant to deal with.

Both of the covers were well made and if TeraFlex had a cover for the Bronco, I would be interested.

I'm a bit confused, seems to fit just fine for me. I haven't seen anyone else saying it needs to be ground down....

Maybe they changed it, but on mine the middle fin rubbed the panhard bar. I have an aftermarket bar now, but it rubbed the original one too. Not hard to fix!
