Bronco locking diff

Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere but I was wondering about the locking diffs. Is the Bronco coming with an actual locker or a clutch type diff? Back in my hot rod days i had a Detroit Locker in my old Ford Fairlane and hated it. I preferred the clutch plate type but would slip and clutches wore fairly quick. It may be that my experience is just outdated.

Electrically actuated locker with, presumably, brake controller actuation to mimic as a limited when necessary.

I had a Detroit in an Early Bronco, had some on road glitches for sure. The ones in the Bronco activated by switches so they will act as open diffs on road and will only lock when activated, by you, in limited traction situations where you decide they are needed.

Same diff as in the current Ranger and F150. Electronic actuation and acts as an “open” diff in unlocked operation. I have had them in my last three vehicles and they are excellent.

Just like an ARB, OX, Detroit E-Locker. It's open, or it's locked. You flip the switch. You decide.
