yeah, it would only fit in with the 2door very short wheelbase bronco, so something like a 3' or 3-1/2' bed like the originals. the 2dr with a 4-1/2' bed like pictured is just a boxy up ranger, even same frame. no point splitting your own market.
There is no need for a modern "Scrambler". Jeep has tried it, Subaru has tried it. Ford even tried it with the Explorer SportTrac
With the Ranger and F150 firmly in the space with both 2 door and 4 door, the only thing Bronco would bring is looks.
Hope they skip the R&D on this one and make the BroncoBronco better with that money.

The only reason a Bronco Pickup makes any sense is that Jeep can command $60K for a Gladiator. Ford isn't going to get that for a Ranger (outside of a Ranger Raptor).

The engineering effort would be minimal also. Just have to see how Ford if/when they implement it.

yes, I see no benefit for this over a ranger. now a single cab very short bed (same wheelbase as the 2 door bronco, so just like the pre 73 pickup bronco's), would be nice. or some way to convert between pickup and SUV.
I agree this would be cool

I might have a need for it but only for vanity! I think Bronco appearance, blockiness, will appeal more to my nature-going side than current gen ranger or F-150. Ranger and its look mostly remind me of dudes who boat and use skis and that popular stuff. I'm more of a hiker, fisher, off roader, military type wanna be. I like the blacked out rangers but would still appreciate something more aggressive in the truck market. Ranger raptor certainly gets closer to that though.

Oh also, Bronco pickup could do at least a few things different from Ranger such as factory rear mounted full size tire, but that's the only thing I could think of lol

You see, I don't need, nor want, a scrambler. I was another halfcab. Not a normally sized pickup truck. And I see no reason why Ford would bring out a Bronco inspired gladiator contender. Same reason why I disagree with Ford if they bring out a raptoresque IFS as the top Bronco suspension built for high speed desert running.

you already have stuff that competes in that market. Why in the world would you be trying to take customers from yourself instead of from the competition. You already have the explorer, and ranger, and ranger raptor, and f-150 raptor, and soon to have the baby bronco, and courier, and ecosport and whatnot.

There is a single market in there that is not filled up with Fords, and that is the primary off-road secondary on-road segment, which also right now does not have anything (including the wrangler) that fills a gap the Bronco used to fill, which is the extreme SWB very off-road capable mini-pickup. I.e. a 2dr Bronco with a 3-3.5ft bed instead of second row seat.

I'm fairly certain the Courier is the "Bronco pickup". Like the baby they will be built on the same platform as the Escape.

The Gladiator dimensons are way off. It looks like Bubba welded on a 5' bed to a 4 door Wrangler. The Hummer SUT looked much better being wider with a shorter bed. Why not a 4 foot bed with a tailgate that has a sliding extender sandwiched between the inner and outside tailgate metal to get another 18"?
Another thing, why no more Stepside beds?

Yes! I've always LOVED stepsides before owning one, and I love them even more now having owned one. It looks great and its super convenient being able to just step onto the side of the bed to reach in and grab something rather than having to drop the tailgate and crawl in

If they keep the next GEN Ranger the same size - as it is as it’s essentially a global platform - and the spy shots of the next GEN F150 or showing it’s going to be larger

Give me this thing about the size of what the Rivian R1T is... it fills the need of people saying mid size are too small and the full sizes are too big

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Give me a truck that fits in my gorram garage. A "midsize" truck these days is bigger than a full-sized from a decade ago. If the Bronco pickup comes out and is available in a configuration under 200" long, I will likely buy one.

An early Gladiator concept had an extended cab with 5' (?)bed. That was something I would have considered switching to Fiat for.
If Ford came out with a extended cab, 5' bed, manual transmission Bronco truck... I would just need to know where to sign.
