i am suing ford in the mean time.
Wow agressive and warranted. I'm guessing not small claims? As I understand the relevant laws, the burden of proof is on them to establish you did something wrong rather than the burden on you to prove you did something right. Maybe that's only Magnuson-Moss and aftermarket parts. Keep us posted and good luck.

OP, Ford account responded to this post, did you reach out to them as instructed? did they respond? If that doesn't work I would document everything and contact an attorney. I've had to do that twice and won my case both times.

I'm currently dealing with some transmission issues myself and in the process of finding a reliable service to address the problem. I've come across monster transmission, and they seem to have a good reputation. However, I'd love to hear from someone who has firsthand experience with their services. If anyone can share their thoughts or provide insights into the quality of work and customer service at Monster Transmission, it would greatly help me

Hello All, I have also trying to figure out what supposedly causing the trans issue. Please see below note in red.

I just got my 23 Badlands and was playing around with flat tow mode. As I'm planning to flat tow, and want to make sure I'm doing everything per fords instructions. Saw that note and it raised the question what happen if the mode is no turned off? I'm looking into the system that comes with the bronc trying to see how this applies.

case in its neutral position could cause
your vehicle to freely roll. Make sure you
press and hold the brake pedal and the
vehicle is in a secure, safe position when
you place the transfer case in its neutral
position.
Follow these guidelines if you have a need
for recreational towing. An example of
recreational towing would be towing your
vehicle behind a motorhome. These
guidelines are to make sure that you do
not damage the transmission.
You can only tow your vehicle with all four
wheels on the ground by placing the
transfer case in its neutral position by
engaging the recreational tow feature.
Perform the following steps after
positioning your vehicle behind the tow
vehicle and properly securing them
together.
Note: Put your climate control system in
recirculated air mode to prevent exhaust
fumes from entering your vehicle.
Note: Failure to put the transfer case in its
neutral position can damage vehicle
components.
Note: You can check the towing status at
any time by opening the driver door or
turning the ignition to the accessory or on
position. Neutral Tow Enabled Leave
Transmission in Neutral appears in the
instrument cluster display to confirm you
can recreationally tow your vehicle.
Note: If your vehicle has an anti-theft
alarm, make sure you switch perimeter
sensing on when towing.

Note: A tone could sound for up to 30
minutes if you recreationally tow with the
doors removed.
Switching Neutral Tow On
1. Switch your vehicle to accessory mode
by pressing the push button ignition
switch without pressing any pedals.
2. Press the 2H button on the four-wheel
drive mode control.
3. Fully press and hold the brake pedal
and shift the transmission to neutral
(N).
4. Using the instrument cluster controls
on the steering wheel, select Settings.
5. Select Neutral Tow.
6. Press and hold the OK button until a
confirmation message appears in the
information display.
Note: If completed successfully, the
information display shows Neutral Tow
Enabled Leave Transmission in Neutral.
This indicates that your vehicle is safe to
tow with all wheels on the ground.
Note: If you do not see a confirmation
message in the instrument cluster display,
perform the procedure again from the
beginning.
Note: You may hear noise as the transfer
case shifts into its neutral position. This is
normal.
7. Release the brake pedal and leave the
transmission in neutral (N).
8. Switch your vehicle off by pressing the
push button ignition switch once
without pressing any pedals.
Switching Neutral Tow Off
1. With your vehicle properly secured to
the tow vehicle, switch your vehicle to
accessory mode by pressing the push
button ignition switch without pressing
any pedals.

Towing Your Vehicle
2. Starting with the brake pedal released
and the transmission in neutral (N),
fully press and hold the brake pedal for
approximately seven seconds and shift
the transmission to park (P). Continue
holding the brake pedal until the
instrument cluster display shows 2H
and Neutral Tow Disabled.
Note: If completed successfully, the
instrument cluster displays 2H and Neutral
Tow Disabled.
Note: Perform the switching neutral tow
on and switching neutral tow off procedures
again from the beginning if the indicator
light and message do not display.
Note:You could hear a noise as the transfer
case shifts out of its neutral position. This
is normal.
3. Release the brake pedal.
4. Apply the parking brake, then
disconnect your vehicle from the tow
vehicle.
5. Release the parking brake, start your
vehicle, and shift into either drive (D)
or reverse (R) to make sure the transfer
case is out of the neutral tow position.
6. If the transfer case did not successfully
shift out of its neutral position, set the
parking brake. Have your vehicle
checked as soon as possible.
Resolving the Shift Delayed Drive
Forward Message
1. Fully press and hold the brake pedal.
2. Press the push button ignition switch.
3. With the vehicle running, shift into drive
(D). Let the vehicle roll forward up to
3 ft (1 m).
Note:You could hear a noise as the transfer
case shifts out of its neutral position. This
is normal.
4. Make sure the instrument cluster
displays Neutral Tow Disabled.

I didn’t have an alarm at the time mine went out.

The last time I flat towed, (after tranny had been replaced) it was approximately 2500 miles over 2 weeks. I stopped periodically ( every 100-150 miles ) and double, triple, quadruple checked that it said it was remaining in Neutral Tow. I also brought along an infrared digital thermometer to check the tranny housing temp.

The only thing I did different this trip compared to the trip when the tranny went out was checking periodically and keeping my speed to 65 max, which isn’t part of the flat tow protocol. Just a thought that maybe higher speeds could possibly get things moving internally but what do I know.

I still have had no communication from @Ford for any type of reimbursement for what I paid for the new tranny, loss of use, or the over $500 in reservation cancellations because of it.

Flat towing is the russian roulette of the Bronco Life. If it's so easy to do "wrong" to such a catastrophic cost, it's not a valuable feature and shouldn't be included.
