This is an honest question. What is the demand for a 2 door? When the JK came out Jeep was expecting at most around a 20% take rate for the JKU, within a couple years it was near 80% of the sales.

You can still find and order the 2 doors, but, as people know here, good l(uck) with a timeframe on getting your order.

Jeep tried to sell 2wd Wranglers back in 2007, the experiment was short lived.

They priced them too high.

$26,000 No frills Bronco 2-door, rear wheel drive:

- power door locks

- front seats only, no rear seating

3 Options:
- automatic transmission + $2,000
- rear seating + $2,500

For reference, Subaru Crosstrek base has MSRP under $25,000.

Seems like there is a new thread, at least once a week for the last 3 or so months where someone just learned that Ford dropped the base model and renews the same ole "bitch-fest"...kinda funny, kinda annoying. What's sad about that? It had like three options you could add on.

The cheapest option is now about $12,600 more than I paid for mine, and all you get for your extra twelve and a half grand is a leather wrapped shifter and steering wheel.

To me the craziest thing is that a Raptor now has an MSRP of nearly $100K with just a couple of options. And that’s before any ADM.

Glad I got mine when I did. 40k is definitely past my comfort zone, (also the BB grille is ugly) I wouldn't have bought one otherwise. I was looking between a 2dr base Bronco and a Tacoma, both being around the same price and the latter being infinitely more practical, the price jump would have definitely pushed me that direction.

At least in 25 years if I need to sell it, I can just be one of those guys on marketplace saying how rare it is and "I know wut I got."

Thanks reading earlier posts and being informed on this topic.

I'm taking over management for Ford Motor Company and will be charging $2500 for rear seats and making the base model a 2-door only option with rear wheel drive. Front drive + transfer case will be $8,000 option.

Order window opens November 31, 2023.
