It's not a new issue, it's been around for years (pre-Bronco). That should be a clue it's not killing people, and it's difficult to fix. Ford isn't dumb on this issue, just confounding.It's odd that it's a known issue at Ford and instead of fixing the root cause, they are shipping cars out at a known defect rate that appears to be high. Maybe because it isn't known to be an immediate safety hazard they don't see a lot of liability and therefore no recalls?
