If I buy a new car, I don't want it to be sitting on a lot for 8 months or a year before I buy it. There is such a thing as calendar age. Sitting, especially outdoors uncovered, is about the worst thing for a car. And as it sits you really have no idea how the dealer or whoever is treating it. A lot of them are just going to let the battery drain out and jump it right before the customer picks it up. Other's will start the rigs, but don't run them long enough to let them reach operating temp. And even if they do start them and run them, they will just let them idle at constant rpm which goes against the break in recommendations.
I can understand that.

If I buy a new car, I'd rather buy it late in the model year.

A new car bought in December 2022 is worth more in January 2023, than a new car bought in January 2022.
Not sure how that applies here. The price is the same wether you pick it up today or after sitting 5 months on the lot. Pretty stupid to not want it now. Will be worth less later since the ‘24s will be coming out. Basically paying for a model year old vehicle.

Quick update, brought the Bronc back to Chapman for the windshield replacement. They gave me a very nice F150 to use overnight. No issues, replaced and got it back now.

PCON Wilmington DE means it’s waiting to be unloaded from the rail car right? I’ve been there since 7/8. (Not that it really matters when my Bronco gets to Chapman since I cant buy it.)

Right, PCON=waiting to be unloaded. Mine sat for 18 days, 6/5-6/23. Picked up by the truckers and delivered to Chapman 5 days later on 6/28.
Hope they get the seatbelt issue sorted out quick.

I hope so too. 10 days away from the 3year anniversary of my reservation.

Installed a wireless charger this morning. Took about 45 minutes and was pretty straightforward. I did not have to remove the 2 screws holding the boot assembly to the shifter although that may have made it easier overall. They face forward and I could not find my stubby. It should be a nice upgrade to have. There's plenty of install vids out there.

Yes, it is.
The rubber mat with a cut out for the charger that came with it doesn't fit in the well, it's a bit too big but the factory one sitting over it works.

One of them is mine.
Just waiting on PDI and OTD pricing.
The first response from the dealer was invoice.....I'm gently requesting the 4 % below invoice and all other certificates and MOD discounts to be applied.
