Yes, I've got sold Sports, and my second Mannequin unit was just built today. It was scheduled and assigned a VIN before the retails were even ordered. This shows how commodities can affect delivery times.

Maybe I misunderstood what you said, the FCTP units showed up within a week of the first retail units, meaning late summer.

What is FCTP?

Ford courtesy transportation program.

They are early test-drive and demo vehicles that can later be sold, although the dealer can use them however they want but can't sell them for 7mos. Many of these Broncos will be showroom queens.

It is also a sneaky way to deliver dealer stock units before all reservations are filled.

Although interesting, I don't take this as good news. it just pushes our builds back by X thousands of units produced before ours. Units we will not see before order. I suppose it might help Ford work out kinks in production though.

Yeah, but x thousands of units is not that much. OK, so the first week of vehicles produced become dealer demos. Probably will be some screw-ups in that batch, so I'd rather have mine come from the "we got things working right now" later production.

And MAP can run 5000 vehicles per week. Even assuming the Ranger chews up 40% of that they'll have them through the assembly line in two weeks.

I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped running Rangers for the week. It's not like that would kill the Ranger pipeline.

Thanks for sharing. Not clear to me how this benefits reservation holders before the order window closes.

seems like this is simply way to drive walk in retail traffic for 2022 orders.

they should have had these delivered well in advance of the ordering window.
