Mid package requires an automatic because of the remote start function.

That would make sense if it was also not available on the badlands. The Wrangler offers remote start with a package just not for MT.

My only complaint in all of this is not being able to get mid and 7MT on anything except Badlands. My heart was set on BB 2 door, 7MT, with Mid and rear locker. That's all I wanted...

Not true. You can still get the Mid package, it just won't include the remote start function with the manual
