My dealer hosed my order a while back. When we (quickly over the phone) I forgot to have him add the roof rails.

I’m hoping I can add them as a dealer installed option after the build. Definitely would be a travesty if I couldn’t put a (good looking) rack in the top.

how much did I screw up?

Well they’re not in the accessory catalog yet, so hard to say.

if you haven't been scheduled with a VIN yet, you should be able to add roof rails to your order from the factory. Unless you have a 4-door SAS.

The “bronco specialist” told me that if we changed anything it would bump my order. Ugh...

Your "bronco specialist" is mistaken.
A dealership with incorrect information?!? I don't believe it...

I'm just curious why you don't just order from the parts department and install it yourself later (vs. dealer installed)? I doubt it's too difficult to install.

Not only is it not difficult, it is actually designed for the owner to put on and take off routinely.

My plan would also be to just order the roof rack after the fact and install it myself.

This video shows the roof rack removal and install (as part of the hard top removal):

Did you mean to post a video on the soft top, vs. roof rail installation?

Disregard. I see you updated it.

So... because mine doesn’t have a factory rack, I’m expecting no mounting points on the front windshield frame, and no rear fasteners on the rear. “If your bronco came with a factory installed roof rack...” leads me to believe no mounting point covers either.

This could be bad.

The mounting points on the front windshield will be there regardless if you order the roof rack or not. These mounting points are also made for light bars, etc and part of the highly touted modularity of the Bronco. The rear part of the roof rack mounts via a clamp and so far all of the MIC roofs shown have the same indented mounting points.

Edit. Added pics of windshield mounting points

Great idea to order the roof rack after. Problem is I'm not seeing in anywhere in the accessory catalogs recently posted. Am I missing something? I hope so. Someone tell me where to order it please.

The Bronco will absolutely have the front mounting points, and the rear clamps on to the hard top. You'll be fine.

Currently it would seem that the roof rails are a factory "part" not an "accessory"... so eventually the parts fiche will be released with all the regular parts stuff that you buy at the parts counter...

...everything we've seen released so far is accessories, that are sold through the accessory catalog and are not supplied by the factory.

Therefore the accessory catalog does not list the roof rails.

Subtle but important distinction at this point.
