They're guessing on the conversion rate just like Ford is. You, the dealer, Ford, or anyone will not actually know the true conversion rate until they start... being converted.

As for the price hikes, get a different dealer or make them commit to X-Plan. Get it in writing. Do your negotiating now before you can't change dealers, that includes all the other dealers in your area.

Yes you might not see yours until 2022. I probably won't being a week three reservation holder. For me, that's the plan. But comparing the Bronco to the F-Series is ridiculous. They have multiple lines for their bread and butter profit machines. The Bronco is sharing a line with a Ranger because, more then likely, once all of the initial demand is met then that'll be all the production capacity they need. Don't forget that they're not getting a full year in with 2021, either.

TL;DR - relax and be patient, and maybe find a new dealer.

I was surprised to hear Ford officially proclaim that it could convert 75% of the 165,000 reservations into real sales orders. Between Covid, new Mach 1, and a brand new model Bronco, recession, they will clearly have plenty of distractions. Corvette just shut down production for a week because of supplier issues.

If dealers were smart, they'd convert 100% of their orders, insure they sell at least 80% of those ordered to original reservation holders and promise to buy them back if they don't want to keep them, and sell the other 20% off the lot.

Exactly what GM did with C8s. Due to strike, high demand, pandemic informed folks who ordered but hadnt received their vehicle that they would have late delivery and a price hike on options/packages.

Perhaps the dealer was confusing the allocation formula which is made up of 50% converted reservations plus 25% volume plus 25% jeep sales in the market?

I think this is consistent with what we know. They dont expect all of the reservations to turn into sales. They have already said that some of the reservations will got into 2022.....Come order time when customers start fighting with dealers over pricing, we will see lots of cancellations.

Why is everyone still stuck on 165k reservations? Reservation process is still open so there could be 400k reservations to date. Nobody has released current day totals.

As for the other MSRP comments from the dealer? They just want you to feel like your lucky to be able to get a Bronco from them.Ask that guy to put $100 on the raising MSRP comment and see him walk away.

Delivery timeline depends on so much more than Ford's assembly throughput. The commodity supply line in this covid world could be where the bottle necks could and most likely will, occur.

In regards to raising the price....was your buddy indicating that Ford Corp was going to raise the MSRP or that specific dealership that was going to raise the OTD price?

I love the fact that the reservations are essentially short term interest free loans to ford. 165,000 X 100 is 165 MILLION.... They can get capacity going.
