I know this has been asked many times but here goes..need help deciding
Options I want are
1.Mid package
2.Hard top
3.Color..Velocity blue or Eruption Green
What I like about BD is Seats and Tires[aggressive look]
So dilemma is I can't find BD with hardtop
Did find OBX though
Any thoughts from owners on likes /dislikes of both models
I live in NYC so off-road may not be a thing
Wondering about OBX and just changing tires for wider aggressive tire..
All and any help or advice is appreciated
Thanks

Does not sound like you really require the badlands. Hard top is more $$ and harder to get aftermarket.
OBX, and spend the savings on your new tires and after market seat covers you like?

OBX all the way for city/daily use. Two points if you want it immediately. You can always swap rubber

If the OBX has the advanced 4wd, rear locker, & 4.27 gear ratio take it for the win.
I was about to say the same thing! The OBX is a great choice for you. However if you think you might want to do some off-roading in the future you’ll want consider what Antimatter06 said. Also the 4A, advanced 4wd gives you all wheel drive for on-road bad weather driving situations, a must imo.

I think there might have been confusion in some of the comments. OP said difference between Black Diamond and Outer Banks… not Badlands.

Need more info OP although if hard top is really the only determining factor then get what you want. If you can save money going with a Black Diamond (because mid package is the highest trim) then keep looking. There’s a lot of other considerations though- what wheels do you want? Sasquatch vs Non, engine size, do you want painted fender flares (if non sas), etc.

I'm in a similar situation as you, NYC driving for work, Long Island beaches for play. No hardcore rock climbing so I went with a nonsquatch OBX mid package, added another forum members SAS takeoffs and 1.5" spacers.
It rides like a dream, has a nice aggressive stance and I can still fit in most parking garages in the city.

I got a Black Diamond for the washout floors and wipe-off seats because of my kids.

This 100%. OP should check out the OBX tire upgrade threads for a better idea. Have the dealer put them on for you and for all your wife knows they’re from the factory 😝

If it doesn't have signature lighting, it’s a dealbreaker for me. This plus the 12” screen made the OBX my choice.

I love my non-sas OBX - It is great on the crappy NY roads and on the beach.

These are the only place to get them. They are made by a fellow Bronco owner on Long Island.

wife was there with me taking turns holding our baby, no way I could get those new upgrade tires lololol. Great idea though, forced her to choose those on her Tesla last year (upgraded tires) since the stock looked like straight trash.
