So I installed my fogs last weekend. My driveway is steep AF, so in order to line them up, I had to go find an empty wall on a flat surface. Luckily my son is practicing baseball in this industrial park, so I was able to drop him off and then go find an empty garage door.

anyway. I have 2 sets of lights. 1 yellow, 1 white. I looked it up online and it said to measure the distance up from the road to the fogs (~23inches), park 25ft away from a straight wall and then measure the same distance from the road to the wall you're shining on. Then measure 4 inches below that, and that's where the top of your fogs should line up. Easy enough.

I did all that, and here is the result. (With headlights off)

What is bothering me is the curvature upward.
Then I remember, because of the bracket design, the fogs are actually installed upside down.
Could this be a result of that?
Has anyone else experienced this?
Is there something I can do about this?
Or is this normal?
I'm afraid of blinding any oncoming traffic.

Oh, and here's a pic with the headlights on, for what it's worth. The arch isn't too much higher than the headlights. So maybe it's ok?

Your lights aren‘t horizontal. Which brackets did you use to mount the lights? The bracket may not be positioned correctly. I don’t believe the light brackets offer any rotation to correct the angle.

Perhaps the brackets are directional? Might need to be swapped to the other side?

Showing the odd output is great and all but pictures of the installed lights would probably help people cue in on what may be going on

i'm starting to think it's the curvature of the bumper?

You can test that - remove the bracket or just the light and hold it away from the bumper to see the light pattern. Or, you could try mounting the lights further forward in the bracket if you have the clearance.

I have the same bracket but with a three lights-per-side set up. I have yet to do the final, proper aiming the way you have done it. Thanks for this post, and I will chime back in with my pics and notes.

Your amber lights are definitely quite angled but yeah the bracket definitely is following The curve of the bumper. I would suggest “leveling” it with some washers. Probably need longer bolts to do that.

They're currently as far forward as they can go. I thought about that too.

I"m also starting to think it's the brackets.

Interested in seeing what your outcome looks like.

The bumper has an upward curve. The bracket doesn't account for the curve. Mine do the same thing. However I don't mind the curve and have not had issues with oncoming traffic.

I have the DD SS3s mounted on the Modular bumper with factory brackets. You need to get them level and “straight” on the bumper to keep the cut off consistent. The further from level you go, the more pronounced the curvature will be and the less you can vary in terms of forward “aim”. I think you can swap the lenses orientation, the fog/sae cut off would definitely be backwards if you just turned over the lamp, but I may be misunderstanding your mounting description.

when you say factory brackets, do you mean DD's brackets?

Your beam looks much better than mine!

Looking at the drivers side, your amber light is angled toward the top corner of the bumper.
